  1. If cleaning it doesn't work, get a new one. 10 years is about the limit for modern dishwashers. I just go this dishwasher and love it. LOVE it. https://www.nfm.com/kitchenaid-46-dba-built-in-dishwasher-with-front-control-in-white
  2. He can't legally throw her out of the marital home where she has residency. She needs to contact the police to get stand by while she gets her things. She could possibly get a protection order against him if she has evidence of abuse or threats and that would force him to move. Her lease may also have a cancellation clause that helps in DV situations. Personally, in this situation I would just cut bait. I would get my stiff and move somewhere else. Maybe she could stay with friends for a short while until she can get into another apartment (at a different place from where her husband lives). Maybe she could get a part time job (in addition to her fulltime job) that would make her eligible to move into university housing (not a dorm but one of the apartment style places many have). Her husband has shown his true character. This is not a situation you want to escalate.
  3. I would probably not host such people. If I really wanted to see this person (or my spouse did), I would go visit him or her in his or her own city and not take my kids. That might mean the adult child goes alone to see the elderly parent. 10 days is a looooong time.
  4. I have always found Lee Jeans to be the most forgiving. Additionally, a friend of mine has some of these jeans and they fit really well: https://www.justmysize.com/shop/justmysize/plus-size-clothing/plus-size-jeans#facet:&productBeginIndex:0&orderBy:&pageView:grid&minPrice:&maxPrice:&pageSize:20& I have no shoe knowledge. Good luck with your shopping. I hate it too.
  5. OMG. This is beyond what I can even handle knowing. Pass the brain bleach.
  6. I saw a lady on some tightwad TV show cook a casserole in the top rack of her dishwasher while she washed her dished. So disgusting.
  7. If you do buy it, the whole inside (including the ceilings and closets) will need to be sprayed with Kilz.
  8. PanOxyl Bar. Walgreens makes a generic version: https://www.panoxyl.com/content/cf-consumer-healthcare/panoxyl/en_us/home/acne-products/acne-cleansing-bar-benzoyl-peroxide.html
  9. Good job being a supportive parent. Hugs.
  10. The 3 and 5 year olds might like this. Not sure about the 7 year old: https://www.amazon.com/VTech-DigiArt-Creative-Frustration-Packaging/dp/B01FVS6D9W
  11. It is state audit day for our public virtual school. This means that my ASD ADHD kid needs to be logged on without being logged off for at least 6 total hours. So much fun--NOT! Currently working on math. Wish us luck.
  12. Glad you are holding up your boundary and protecting your kids. Hugs.
  13. Was it scary? Did the police bust through the door? I would be freaked.
  14. Saw this tweet today. It says everything about what kind of person he is: https://twitter.com/jaketapper/status/1033180858935664640
  15. Gorilla Glue tape might be a contender.
  16. Carpet tape. Sticky on both sides and soooooooo sticky.
  17. I am a plant based eater who eats beans multiple times a day. I could not live without my Instant Pot. I use it almost daily for 1) bean based soups/stew, 2) plain beans, and 3) rice. Here are a couple of bean suggestions. http://www.oprah.com/food/lentil-taco-meat-recipe_1 http://vegweb.com/recipes/taco-soup-pantry I sometimes use 2 cups of dry beans for the taco soup and just adjust the water (this becomes intuitive once you have used an instant pot enough). I sometimes add smoked frozen corn. I almost always top my portion with diced avocado and salsa. Think of it as a basic recipe you can adjust as needed. VegWeb has some great recipes. Love beans!!!
  18. Yep. I have fixed my appliances many times with youtube. I would go that route first.
  19. He committed suicide and killed his kids by blowing them up in their house. Evil.
  20. Evil, evil, evil. So awful for her family. The pain must be unbearable, even today.
  21. The year I was there, it was May and already so hot I could barely handle walking from place to place on the strip. All of the concrete and reflective surfaces make it super duper hot. I would try for a different US location or no vacation at all.
  22. Have you considered pushing back on going at all? Is the pressure to go coming from your husband? You absolutely can say no. No one can force you to go on an unwanted vacation.
