  1. I would go out and try some new pants and jeans that will fit and flatter your body shape and weight now. Shapers make me feel squeezed and uncomfortable, but you might find something that works for you. My body has changed a bit over time and I find things that looked great a few years ago no longer work for me, even if they do fit.
  2. I do love my KitchenAid toaster; it's been going strong for 10+ years, but it is just two, not a four slice toaster.
  3. Your reaction sounds pretty normal to me. I think many of have days where we are 100% sure and then moments of longing for another little one to love. I would recommend allowing yourself to feel and explore your feelings. Changing your mind is not the end of the world; nor is a big age gap between kids.
  4. Oh, I just love pictures. Beautiful family.
  5. It sounds like the perfect gift to me, even if they don't love-love them forever. Getting a much wished for gift at their ages will be something to remember for a life time. I still remember a few of mine, and how wonderful opening them felt. Baby-alive and an Easy-bake oven, I was in gift heaven :hurray: . Confession, I've purchased a number of things for my kids and even nieces and nephews that left me scratching my head or knowing they would end up in the donation box; but they made them happy and that was worth the money to me.
  6. What an adorable, happy baby! Just beautiful.

    Advice

I would go and use the crutches or a cane, and as someone mentioned mention your recovery or injury in a lighthearted way. And...Good luck.
  8. I'm glad to read you are feeling better. pp was right, a number of women suffer repeated bouts, and pressure is worth exploring. Those carriers or binding/too tight clothing can often cause a mom to repeat the misery. I hope your cure is complete and the end of it for you.
  9. I have a black and tan pair of suede boots with the furry-fuzzy-warm & comfy lining and wear them a lot during the winter here. Mine don't have the fur down the side, but the pair you linked are pretty cute. I would wear them. Here in the Midwest, just about everyone (female, young & old) wears them. Take this with a grain of salt though; I'm definitely no fashion diva. ( I was jokingly advised not to wear them with sweat pants, because only young people can get away with that  .)
  10. :driving: Driving in Italy...I think I blocked that out of my memory. Happy house hunting!
  11. I've been offline for a while and missed this, but I send best wishes to both you and your mother.
  12. :iagree: Nodding my head in agreement...Send them.
  13. I think they do sell just the cords for $20 or so. Imo, fwiw...Think very hard before allowing ds to take anything over there in the future. The history you mention of their problem before with the charging would bother me. Otherwise it wouldn't bother me, but the fact that the one they had didn't work and now the one you have isn't would leave me feeling like they set ds up to be cheated.
  14. Poor kid, I'm glad he is safe with people who care about his well being.
  15. :grouphug: My thoughts and prayers are with the two of you. :grouphug:
  16. :iagree: :grouphug: :iagree: It stinks and people should never badger anyone who is struggling financially.
  17. OP, my library had a number of books on this subject. Yours might be worth a check.
