I don’t know if anyone remembers me, but I’ve lurked randomly over the years and just wanted to say hi and thank you! I started posting here back in 2010? 2011? I was a rising 10th grader looking for resources on self teaching / homeschooling the last two years of high school. I received a lot of help, a lot of loving support, and I gained a community during a very turbulent and lonely time in my life. For that, I sincerely thank you all. I see many familiar faces just scrolling through the most recent threads. To catch up, if anyone is interested… I graduated high school in early 2012 and I married my high school sweetheart that same year. I received an Associate’s degree and then went on to receive my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I built up a freelance career as a content writer which I’ve continued, though I now also work full time in eCommerce. On a personal note, my husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary in a few weeks. We’ve booked a cruise for the end of the year which is our first big trip solo as a couple. No kids to homeschool yet, but we adopted a sweet mutt almost three years ago. I couldn’t have pictured my life the way it is today, but I have many of you lovely people to thank. If I remember correctly, you got married on fairly short notice because a relative (I think it was your grandmother?) was very ill and you wanted to include her — amazing that it's been 10 years already! I think I was still transientChris then. ( I have had many name changes over the years since I used to do places we lives then switched to transient and when dh retired from service, went to travellingChtis).
