mrseshaw
Need some help. Want something of Hebrew origin, but not popular like Jacob, Caleb, Isaac, Elijah, etc... Here's my shortlist, none of which my husband is in love with... Gideon Simon Solomon. We already have a son named Noah, it drives me nutso that "Noah" has become so popular. Thanks a million! mrseshaw
I love Samuel too, but our last name begins with S. Asher is super cute also, but it is THE trendy name in boston among Jews/Christians. My sons swim class of 10 had 3 ashers! Keep the suggestions coming! Thanks so much!!! Parrothead
Personally I like Simon. I like Adam too. You hardly ever hear either of those anymore. Oh, and don't overlook David. ETA: Stephen
kokotg
Ephraim Ari Asa Samuel Dov Judah Lev I have a thing for three letter Hebrew names. I have an Ari. But I fear we in the south are too slippery with our vowels for us to use most of them. I did try to talk DH into Lev this time around, as less trendy than Levi and more useable for us than Leo, since my good friend already used Leo. He won't go for it, though. I like Asa with Noah. Miselainia
I have a David Enoch and a John, which are known, but we've never run into other children with these names. I really wanted to name our third son Josiah, but it didn't fit.
caroljenn
I like Micah a lot! Not completely unheard of, short and cute. Samuel is good too,and can be nicknamed to Sam or Sammy.

SonshineLearner
I like Asher... Remember your child gets to live with the name... Will it make them proud? Happy to have the name? Some of the names people are choosing, I agree with a previous thread I saw... the parents should change their own name first.. :(
chickenpatty
We're leaning towards Seth for one of our twins. Now we need to come up with another boy name for twin A. I'm glad you started this post! :001_smile:

meena
Seth, Josiah, and Ezra are the first to come to mind. I know a family who named their son Abdiel and I've had a hair stylist named Adiel, both of which are more obscure OT names that I think are pretty cool.
