A.J. at J.A.
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/thehobbit/ Awesome! My boys will love to see this - my oldest was just mentioning the Hobbit coming out next December. Blessings, Angela
JFSinIL
Gollum showing up at the end made shivers go down my spine..... My mental image of Thorin is older than what Jackson shows - but his younger Bilbo is spot on! Looks like the "break the dishes" song will be in it ! :D
catz
That looks fantastic! Is it not going to be released until next December???? Boo hoo - a whole year we need to wait!? Super excited here.
mamapjama
Why wait a year? It must be ready if that much of the trailer has been made. Patience is not my strong point  Would you watch LOTR prior to viewing the Hobbit?
Down_the_Rabbit_Hole
Perfect. It looks great. Ds is reading the Hobbit for the first time in a few months. I know he will be on pins and needles waiting till December to see the movie.

elegantlion
Me so excited!!! (said in a creepy Gollum voice) <-- he gave me shivers too. That will give us plenty of time to finish LotR, go back read The Hobbit again. :hurray: :hurray: I wonder if Bilbo will take a towel with him? ;)
Heather in Neverland
I can't wait! We are studying The Hobbit with the Progeny Press guide after Christmas followed by the LLFLOTR. This movie (followed by yet another watching of the LOTR trilogy of course) will cap the whole thing off perfectly. Talk about good timing....:D
dsmith
I can’t wait! We are reading the book now, ds for the first time. He just started liking the LOTR movies, so he was excited to hear about The Hobbit movie. By the time it comes out, we should be reading LOTR. happypamama
Looks so good! My children loved when DH read them The Hobbit a couple of years ago, and they all absolutely LOVE the LOTR movies. They can't wait for The Hobbit! (I wish they'd put the LOTR trilogy on the big screen again, so the kids can see it.)
Night Elf
 I'm so excited! I hate waiting. Waiting is dumb.

Patience is not my strong point  Would you watch LOTR prior to viewing the Hobbit? No. I read the Hobbit YEARS before ever reading the Lord of the Rings. I love the Hobbit and tolerate the latter.
PeacefulChaos
:D SO, so exciting! 1st half of the book next December, the 2nd half the following December, if I remember correctly. :) Yay!! :D

SquirrellyMama
We are reading the Hobbit for the first time (first time for me also) and are enjoying it a lot. I'm excited for this movie and may even go to the regular theater to see it :001_smile: I thought about moving on to the LOTR books but my dh thought they might be too gory for the kids. My kids aren't all that sensitive. What is a good age for LOTR? Kelly

mommymilkies
The books are really not that gory, IMO. My kids had no problems with them. The movies are by far gorier than the books.
happyhomemaker
I think it looks great! Where do you think they will break for the next movie? I'm thinking after the spider incident would be a good stopping place. Any other ideas? Oh, and was anyone else a little weirded out with the brief clip of Gandalf and Galadriel? I hope they don't imply a romantic relationship there. I hate it that some kind of romance has to be in every movie, whether it fits well in the plot or not.
