I have a house full a minature Steven Wrights running around here. You have to be really on your game though on they will be talking right over your head. Half the fun around here is the reactions of the people who weren't paying attention the first time. ;)

heh heh. Me, you! And, after I made a sign in our school room that said, "Welcome to XXX Homeschool" dh made up a sign for underneath it that said, "And Comedy College." So, even my substitute teacher's a bit of a prankster....

He dressed up as Calvin (carried a G.R.O.S.S. sign and convinced his little brother to dress up as a tiger and call himself Hobbes) for Halloween, and everyone who knows him well laughed really really hard because it was just SO fitting.

Absolutely. My 6.5yo is forever popping off with one-liners out of the blue or doing something hysterical. He can't help himself. It's just who he is; he's done it since toddlerhood. We call him our family clown.

I discovered I had a class clown in my ds when we started a weekly co-op a few years ago. I should have seen it coming, I guess, but maybe we are not as fun to entertain as a class full of cute girls. :D

Yep. One of my identical twins is a class clown . . . the other is the teacher's pet rule-follower.

Yup. Ds12 is the constant entertainer. Always making a joke...and most are really good! He always makes us laugh. At least he used to be like that...now he's more grumpy than anything else. :glare:

My ds4 is a class clown. He has been this way since he was aware that my older 2 dc could laugh at him...and they enjoy the entertainment.

Yes, I do. She is cute and funny and likes to play tricks on and tease people. She also knows how to hide her behavior and get away with it. And she's the quiet one so in school the kids would all know but the teacher would probably never have a clue what was going on.:001_smile:

My dh was the class clown and 3 of our 4 boys git the job description, too. Fun, fun, fun BUT tiring when you're trying to drill or teach a new concept.

I look at it that there could be WORSE things.

My 1st ds actually started high school last year. He is very quick witted but shy so he mostly comes home and tells me all the quips & one-liners he wanted to say. I think when/if he breaks out of his shell his teachers aren't going to know what hit them.

 

My 2nd ds is still at home. He's also quick-witted...and is planning all the stuff he is going to say and do at school when he starts high school. :tongue_smilie:
