nukeswife
My dog took a turn for the worse yesterday, and what they at first thought was worsening arthritis turned out to possible internal bleeding and kidney failure. We've had her for 12.5 years and she's been a constant companion for us. When my dh has to go on deployment she's always been there for me. It will be really hard to say goodbye but we know it's best for her. We don't want her to be in pain anymore.

NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
:grouphug::grouphug: BTDT. Still miss my calico sweetie and just thinking of her brings tears to my eyes. We loved her so! She suffered so much at the end, I wish I would have had the courage to put her down sooner. You are doing the right thing and believe me when I tell you, the end of your pet's suffering will bring some comfort as you face the days ahead with out him. Hugs to you and I'm sorry you are going through this.

Georgia On My Mind
I lost my beloved Fatboy (17 yr old tabby 3 years ago this month). No one or thing can replace him and we still mistakenly call the other cat Fatboy. We will pray. God heals the broken heart from anything. He will help you through this and hold your hand. :grouphug:

iammommy
I'm so sorry. We had to put our 12+ year old beloved greyhound Katie down last year and we were heartbroken. It was best for her, though. I'm just so sorry. :grouphug: Nan
sadiegirl
I have gone thru this as a child and also as a parent and ott never is an easy thing to do. These pets depend on us to do the right thing no matter what but it hurts to let go. :grouphug:
