One kid adds lots of ketchup or sweet chili sauce and mash his sardines. I just add curry. The Brunswick can sardines don't smell as strong.

Love these (omega-3 fatty acids! calcium! protein!) but yes, I sequester the used tins in their own plastic bag, take that to the outside trash and then scrub down everything they touched!

My dad shared his love of sardines smooshed on toast and smoked oysters smooshed on toast with us kids.

Pipe is running again, now for the great trash can hunt. It blew away in the heavy winds last night. It is one of those large city issues ones to streamline the garbage collection process.

Our neighbors can always find their trash in our yard when the wind blows. :)

I used the recipe inside the box for Ball brand instant pectin. It used blueberries, sugar and pectin.

we had owl pellet dissecting today, too! I don't know why ds likes it, but he does. He thinks HomeScienceTools should use owl pellets as packing peanuts when we get a shipment from them....

That's great! I thought it was cool they dissected it. Not so cool when beloved child put the contents into a can, brought it into his bedroom and knocked it onto the floor. But, anyway :)
