  1. The type of fiber I use depends on the end product (cotton for dishcloths, wool blend for hats & gloves, acrylic for blankets). I usually try to stick with worsted weight.
  2. I like to slice mine first and then bake. Make uniform slices almost the whole way through, coat with oil & salt, bake like normal. My family prefers potatoes this way.
  3. I picked up the flu after visiting a sick friend. No exercise this week. Will try to ease back into it next week.
  4. I would think that you can drop off at any of the resorts/hotels and they can take the bus or monorail. When we stayed on-site you just hopped on the bus to go where you wanted. There was no checking or anything.
  5. I don't recall what I normally put on the forms. When someone asks me IRL what I do they get a super long answer because I home school my kids, have a real estate license, do real estate investing, am retired from my pre-mom job, and take care of the house. Most people are impressed with the home school thing.
  6. I can't remember names unless I see it written down. I like the idea above about visualizing the name written out. I'll have to try that.
  7. I thought they didn't recommend it for women who haven't had a child yet? I don't have any personal experience with it.
  8. Looks like something my family would like. Thanks for sharing.
  9. :grouphug: I'm so sorry for your loss. :grouphug:
  10. Pancakes, pasta with meat sauce, soups, chili, etc. My older kids make what I normally make. They started out with helping me and then I would supervise them doing the whole recipe. Now I just tell them what I want them to make & they do it all.
  11. If you're open to chiropractic, I'd take her in for an adjustment.
  12. I need to lose over 60 pounds. I was doing good and then gained it all back. I'm great with exercising on a regular basis and love that. I know that I need to make better food choices.
  13. I do ask my kids what they learned. I only keep their papers until I tidy up the house. If they want to keep something it needs to go in their room. I would probably not throw things away at church so the lady doesn't know.
  14. :grouphug: I found walking helped with the lack of energy with my last pregnancy. Fresh air & sunshine.
  15. When we go back to old state to visit family we let our friends know way in advance so we can all get together. We usually schedule a day & time with the one and they let everyone else know the details. I think it's kinda rude for them to contact you the day they are set to leave. I agree with the person above who said that you were an afterthought.
  16. We love the series. I'm trying to make my kids stretch it out instead of binge watching. I think it is so much better than the movie. The lighting isn't as dark as the movie was.
  17. Our school has different age groups and different level classes. There are the littles aged 3-6, next are 7-12, and last is the teen/adult. Class levels are trial course/beginners, black belt club, and masters. The youngest kids have a 30 min class while the rest are all 45 min. We do a homeschool class which has mixed ages & levels but it's really small so they still get personalized attention. Our school does belt testing every 8 weeks. At blue belt level they have to have their belt for 2 cycles (16 weeks) before they can test up. They have certain things that they work on each cycle and have to pass those plus the belt test to rank up.
  18. The blade is inset and won't touch the sides or bottom of the container. I like because you can blend hot stuff right in the pot. I have the Oster one.
  19. When my now 14 yo was 4-5 she would throw awful tantrums. I would tell her that she could scream all she wanted only in her room and to punch her pillow if she was mad. I would put her in there and tell her when she was calm that she could come out. You can't reason with them when they are in the middle of a fit.
