  1. Get the wand! We paid extra for the interactive wands for the younger two (7 & 10 at the time). They had a lot of fun wandering around finding the places on the map and trying out their wands.
  2. I hate scammers! Maybe have a code word to use with grandma in case anyone else calls. Kinda like we tell kids not to go with anyone unless they give the proper code word.
  3. We have Virgin Mobile, no contract. I was looking at new phones and I saw that they had the iPhone 5s for $199 after rebate. We've been happy with VM.
  4. I found most of what I need on other sites. I use this one all the time http://www.tinasdynamichomeschoolplus.com/free-printables/7-step-curriculum-planner/
  5. I'm surprised they didn't check the shoes when you bought them. Every time I buy shoes they always check to make sure that they are the same size. I'd call and see what they suggest to fix it. I would think that they have the mismatched pair still there.
  6. I'd try to add protein to your nighttime carbs. An apple with cheese, toast with peanut butter, etc. Also, I almost think a small amount of ice cream would be better than cereal. Cereal is nothing more than sugar. At least with ice cream you'd have protein and fat.
  7. :grouphug: So sorry. Will pray for you & your area.
  8. I love double ovens. The ones in this kitchen, not so much. My other house had 2 standard size ovens. This one they look standard but when you open them they are actually not as wide. I had to put my favorite baking pan in storage because it doesn't fit. For Thanksgiving we had to buy a new roasting pan. Even after measuring, it doesn't fit sideways because of the handles. I have to put it in vertically (does that make sense) and the door just barely shuts. These are wall ovens. Not sure about stove/oven combo. There are many times it is nice to have 2 ovens going at the same time. Cooking things that require different temperatures, making multiple things at the same time (pizza for us).
  9. You can look at the activity (today, yesterday, last 2 days, last 3 days, last 7 days, last 30 days, all time). Then have the child do the activities that he didn't do. I'd change his password and be the one to log him in & out so it doesn't happen again.
  10. In our area the building is crazy. We have 2000+ houses going up in a 2 mile radius. One of the cities has been annexing property all over the place with no care about the infrastructure. Our traffic is already bad, I can't imagine how much worse it's going to get. All of these subdivisions are $300,000 and up. Nothing really for the first time home buyer.
  11. My OB's office started with the permanent birth control talk during my 2nd pregnancy!
  12. Here's a pattern for a crocheted soap coat http://ellenbloom.blogspot.com/2011/12/little-gifties.html#links
  13. Yes! Mine all hated being in the car as babies. My 2 yo will yell at DH to put his seatbelt on because he unbuckles it to back the van into the driveway (I don't know why DH does that).
  14. Have her look at Khan Academy.
  15. We went when my now 8 yo was turning 3. She doesn't remember it at all. She enjoyed it at the time. I have older kids and they all remember going. If it's something that you & your husband would enjoy then I'd do it. Otherwise, wait until your child is older and will remember the experience.
  16. Have you tried any of the workouts yet? I tried Cize and it was fun but I felt awkward. Have you looked at Country Heat. It just came out. It was easier for me to do. I don't like country music but it's fine for working out. I also tried Piyo but went with 21 Day Fix instead. Too much stretching with Piyo.
  17. I don't have any experience with psychologists but this sounds wacky. I heard about therapies where they swaddle the kids to "help" but it just really freaked them out and some kids died from it. Sound similar to that. I would run away from that doc. Good thing that you went by yourself first.
  18. I use mine for my underarms. I can't stand the feel of stubble. The hair grows back softer and sparser. I keep trying it on my legs but just can't do it. The hair doesn't have to be very long for it to work.
  19. I had a Jawbone Up. I really liked it until the button popped off. They replaced it with a different version which was fine. The problem we have with them (my DH had one too) was the syncing with the app. If their system was down you would lose your data because it couldn't upload. There was no way to tell how close you were to your step totals without the app. We replaced those with the Garmin Vivosmart HR a couple of months ago. I like that all the info is on the device so I don't have to look at the app on my phone to see my status. I also love that it is a watch! I think you can sync with a computer so don't need a phone but look that up to make sure. It can sync with MyFitnessPal and other apps if you're looking for the social aspect of it.
  20. The broker that the agent works for and whatever agency licenses real estate agents in their state.
  21. I had a really bad cut about 2 years ago now. I've been growing it out ever since.. I don't know why my girl cut it super short but I looked horrible. Lucky my hair does grow fast. My bangs are now down past my chin. I'm waiting to figure out what I want before I get it cut again. If I had the money, I'd buy a couple of really great wigs and just shave my head!
  22. My friend just had to figure this out for her 40 yo DH. In our state, if you're not embalmed you have to either be buried in a pasture or a vault in the ground. They did have only 48 hours to figure everything out because he wasn't embalmed. There was a small graveside service. They had not pre-planned but at least had discussed having a green burial at some point in the past.
  23. Scary! Thanks for the heads up.
  24. People can wear whatever they want. I just wanted to comment on the bathroom thing. Even with a two piece I just pull the panty part aside and pee. Super easy and no wrestling with a wet suit.
