You need an RFID wallet. There is very little violent crime, but the pickpockets are horrible. I used an RFID pouch around my neck with cash, credit cards, and ID. Make sure it's RFID, because the magnetic info can be scanned and you wouldn't know until it's too late.

I know what you mean. We have 3 dds ages 15-19. Next year we are going to do a Secret Santa instead of buying gifts for everybody. Two of the girls will be in college and one in high school. We will set a dollar limit and draw names before they leave for college. Hopefully, it will reduce some of the stress and be fun for everybody.

I feel your pain. My dd is required to pay several hundred dollars a season to help out with her travel. If she wants expensive cleats, she has to pay the difference between the ones she wants and how much we will pay. I would really try to make this work with dd as long as her grades don't suffer. At 16, her childhood is almost over, and if this is something she really wants to do, I would try and make it work.

My girls rarely check their email. Maybe they didn't see the original one until later or they didn't know how to respond.

I'm seeing more racial harmony in my own life. I think the younger generations are generally more tolerant and inclusive than older ones, so I do have hope.
