  1. I think this leaves you worry free to treat your mom, and expect the tag-alongs to pay for themselve(s).
  2. I agree with, Tap. Something is off on the fit.
  3. I would not rush to do this, but if your dh's work situation does pick up, then I would do it. We actually did give an older car to a family member a few years back.
  4. Good advice above, and I hope you rec. a full refund asap. I think the new resolution ebay system works pretty well. I had to use it a while back when an item arrived not as described; my refund was in my account in less than a day.
  5. If you are stuck with the room, call the desk and get new pillows and an extra blanket; they will be fresh and should making sleeping easier.
  6. Around here old lady names have become very trendy. I've met a number of baby Ruths, Ediths and Hazels lately.
  7. I'm crying right along with you. :crying: We drove down to AZ a year ago because the price was so high to fly; and that would have been without checked bags. It is a 23 hour drive each way :driving: . My oldest refuses to ever get in a car for that long again, and honestly, I don't blame her.
  8. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  9. Have you ever tried a diffuser on your blow-dryer; they work pretty good for wavy or curly hair. Wen makes pretty good hair products, and I also like Redken's line.
  10. I've had to wash everything after one wearing or shower (towels) for years due to ds's eczema, as recommended by his pediatrician. Living here, our towels would still be wet for the next shower and I can't stand trying to dry off with a damp towel. Sheets we do weekly, and most everything we own is 100% cotton. I don't wash things that are top layers like sweaters, coats etc. unless they need it. Summers here are so humid, we often have to shower more than once a day and change into dry clothes (tmi) after being outdoors :w00t: . I do wish I could wash less though.
  11. Have you considered blow drying it? If I let my hair air-dry it goes crazy and does its own uncontrollable thing.
  12. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  13. Order the pizza and do what you need to get through it. I find the nights are the hardest part for me too, and lack of sleep doesn't work well with me. You can do this though; treat yourself to that pizza and find small ways to pamper yourself or do something you wouldn't waste time on if he was home.
  14. Sad for everyone involved, esp the family members.
  15. Maybe you could get micro-fiber covers custom made for your cats instead...Cute little cat-jumpsuits that contain the hair.
  16. What an amazing place to spend the weekend.
  17. I understand, even though I'm not really a quilter; I want to be a quilter, but I can't claim any skill or real experience. (I am attempting a go at Frankenquilting :smash: a beloved old quilt; and am working very slowly (think 5+ years) on a paper-piece quilt.)
  18. Books, magazines, nail-polish, trading cards, stuffed animals, joke-book, sunglasses, make-up, hair-stuff, tennis-balls & a racket, a hat, cool t-shirt, fountain pens, markers and of course candy, chocolate and other yummy treats. (My kids are older teens and we've expanded and grown our ideas over the years. My dd, likes shopping and putting them together aka big help.)

It sounds like a poorly thought out plea for money esp. since neither the groom nor the bride will be there. I would be a little embarrassed to tell the truth. Now forgive me, but I might just bring some granny-gift for the mother of the groom.
  20. Shrug...I don't get upset when someone doesn't use a computer anymore than I would because someone didn't have a TV. Their life, their choice not a worry for me.
  21. Also for future, if you purchase a pre-paid card and send it to her, you could re-load it in the future for her on-line. I've never heard of a printable card btw, but it would be nice.
