  1. If you're into gaming, Wil Wheaton's youtube videos are great. He does a lot of reviews as well on all sorts of games.
  2. Body oil! As Okbud said, just about every day. My favorite, believe it or not, is Hawaiian Tropic's regular tanning oil. I never lay out in the sun to tan, but this oil is amazing for the skin on my legs. It smells good too. I also use the original Alpha Keri bath oil just out of the bottle on my legs and it's really good too. It has a lilac smell.
  3. I've always found uploading through the Google Drive app to be terribly slow and often glitchy with synchronizing. It's easier and faster to go to your Google Drive via browser and upload it directly. This is faster for me.
  4. Lifelong gamers here, and several different systems. For years I was an admin of several big online RPGs with users worldwide. I ran a game for years with about 20 friends that was set in Victorian London and it was a blast. We are going to do a super hero based RPG with just the family this summer, and hubby is in a D&D group with some of his classmates as well. When we were in Texas, there were several LARP groups (live action role play) that met in the parks in the summer. I wasn't in them but it was almost like watching Shakespeare in the Park with costumes, shields and wooden swords, etc.
  5. We've had 2 done at clinics like this. It was a huge volunteer thing, with all our local vets. Regular folks volunteered in droves to to warm the cats and pet them as they came out of anesthesia, people brought food :) We never had any issues at all.
  6. It is hit and miss regarding prices and how much storage room you have. Some things I can't buy in bulk as it won't keep long enough to use it. There are some 'always buys' though. If you like pot stickers (dumplings) this is the place. Their bag has about 3 times as many dumplings ad the small bags at the grocery store and much cheaper. The dried mangos are another. Big bag! the produce at ours is usually really good. Avocados are really cheap there. One specific thing I noticed after this last trip. Beef brisket was almost $3 cheaper per pound that it was at our Albertson's which on something that size is pretty significant. Butter is also cheaper at Costco here. Non-food stuff varies by trip so yes, if you see something there you want/need, get it. It likely won't be there next time.
  7. I picked up a 2-pack of the Takeya ones at Costco and love them. I put ice and water in mine yesterday morning before the gym. It sat on the counter after we got back. At 11 last night, there was still ice in it. This morning, the ice was finally gone but the water was still cold. They have screw-off lids, but the Hydroflask straw lids fit them.
  8. Amazon had tall sizes in the Champion brand and they are the straight legs, no elastic at the bottom. They also have the elastic legged ones too. I have a pair of the straight legs and they are more of a jersey/cotton and really comfortable.
  9. Assistant Provost for the Task Force on Academic Services Estimated salary: $230,133
  10. I've had some trouble this past week using the buy it now Prime buttons when I change it to next day shipping and I've never had this issue before. Three things I ordered this way, when I checked the orders were showing normal 2 day shipping. I cancelled them, tried one again adn it still showed 2 day. I finally got next day shipping to work but actually putting them in my cart and choosing next day shipping then. It seems to be a new glitch.
  11. Does he have more hours in the day than the rest of us?? :) Regarding the languages, one of my professors has his PhD and speaks 10 languages. That amazes me.
  12. I am wiping my eyes over here...literally! Texasmom you are my new hero. :biggrinjester:

    The Mom Cut

Long hair is common here too. I have a friend with a similar cut and she isn't a mom but is over 25. Didn't Aisha Tyler have a similar cut when she was on Friends? :)
  14. If you are in an area with seismic activity that might do it. We are and tho we don't get movement we can feel, the spices in my cabinet slip around on the shelf (and sometimes fall off) often.
  15. What I really hate is weaving in the yarn ends when done. I made myself get in the habit of weaving one in as soon as it appeared instead of waiting until the end to do them all.
  16. I hate the sewing together part too! I have one that's been in pieces for 6 years..LOL!. Often, I will adjust the pattern to do it all in one piece simply to avoid this.
  17. Mango skin can cause reactions due to the urushiol as mentioned above. My youngest gets immediate mouth and lip blisters from it.
  18. I have a pair of Keens that I have had for 3 years, and they still look almost new and they get worn daily for at least 2 miles maybe more...and despite lots of snow. The shape of the footbed is wonderful and they are really comfortable.
  19. Nothing. I hate trying to sleep and rolling over nad having a t-shirt or pjs or a gown getting all wrapped around me.
  20. I am finishing a 2nd Bachelor's and all I had to do was the major requirements. In my case, my first BS degree was so long ago, that the head of the grad program here told me I'd be better off going this route before grad school. With an education degree, library science would be very workable. You can jump to a lot of different fields for a masters, really. Paralegal courses generally don't care what degree you have and not all even require a college degree as they are run as associate's degree programs. The community college here associated with the university does theirs that way.
  21. I leave this here for a laugh, since it came up in conversation here yesterday and hubby was amazed I could recite it form memory: A tutor who tooted a flute Tried to tutor two tooters to toot. Said the two to their tutor, "Is it harder to toot Or to tutor two tooters to toot?"
  22. I don[t write in fiction books, but books for class I will mark things in, both with a pen and with post-it flags because the flags make it easy to find marked pages when writing papers. The one exception to class books are those I know I won't keep and plan to resell.
  23. I could've written this post :) One of my grandpa's had a temper and he swore like a sailor but was the soul of gentleness with his family. It was never an issue either because as kids we were taught not to repeat what he said. I miss him a lot :)
  24. I have to agree with the above...whoever labelled it the Terrible Twos was off by a year. It was when they turned three.....:) Though compared to some of my friends' kids mine were easy. I am kinda the opposite...I love my teenagers. We're close, they want us around and enjoy doing things with us. They are interesting to talk to and fun. I credit homeschooling for that absolutely.
  25. Go to ebay and do a search for Hooters socks.
