  1. I will be 53 in June. I have long hair, almost mid-back, and it's curly with no grey. I wear it parted on the side. The back is one length, shorter on top and gradually lengthening to meet the long layer. It's really low maintenance and easy to put up as well. This is it almost exactly: http://www.hair-styles-secrets-revealed.com/hair/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/hairstyle-for-curly-hair.jpg I don't hold with the idea that you can't have long hair when older either.
  2. I thought it was hilarious and really liked it. The line about finding another motel was awesome :) The cemetery scene had us all laughing here.
  3. Yay! Good news - I have a friend who missed them. Fox is normally stingy and won't stream new episodes of their shows till a week or two after they air (at least in the past).
  4. Hulu Plus has them, according to Hulu's main page.
  5. I've not had any issues either, and I am in Montana (i,.e. off the beaten path :) )). Everything still comes UPS though. We haven't had any Prime items come through the PO.
  6. We've had a lot of HP's and they were great. Hubby has one now and he works it hard and it 2 years old and still racing along. DD has a Lenovo which works well but the physical constriction isn't as sturdy as the HPs. I have a Toshiba chromebook which I love and a new Dell that folds backwards to turn it into tablet mode. I've been impressed with it so far - and I am a heavy user/picky about my hardware :)
  7. I learned to drive a manual on tractors and an old '55 truck that had a manual shift on the steering column :) We have both a manual and an automatic now but honestly? I really prefer the manual on snowy roads as I have much more control.
  8. I have a small Filofax that holds: note paper, bank and insurance cards and IDs, a zipper pocket for money, and a couple of pockets for receipts. I don't overload it so it's still thin and manageable. I also have a small zipper pouch with mints, pen, lip balm, lipstick, mirror, and inhaler when I am out. The only other things are my keys and my phone which comes out when I am home. When I need to switch purses, all I have to move is the FF, the pouch, and keys and add my phone.
  9. The college gives us free licenses for Office 365 and it is seamless with One Drive as Audrey said. I've been using my own Office 2013 but finally switched to 365 since it was newer and no issues. There is an installed component though, so in addition to your specs, you'll need to have the storage room for it. This site may help - it lists every requirement to run 365: https://products.office.com/en-us/office-system-requirements?legRedir=true&CorrelationId=15804d2f-f15d-4229-aea5-d76873a83637
  10. I had a Lumia 1520 for two years and loved it (just retired it but it's still in perfect shape). I find the windows phone OS so much more logical to navigate through and things much easier to find. In general, I found apps for everything I needed and in many cases, the free ones for windows phone had fewer or no ads than the android version. There are several that I really miss because the android versions have less functionality. My 1520 had amazing battery life too, way better than my android phone. It had a 6 inch screen and would still go 2 days and then some without needing to be plugged back in.
  11. Filofax with pages I designed and print to keep track of classwork I have to do, exams, etc, along with household chores in personal size. I have several binders so change them out as the mood strikes. It stays open on my computer table. I have an A5 that keeps things like health info on son, books to get, course records..that sort of thing that I don't look at every day. Both of the FF's stay at home. I have a Leuchtterm dot grid notebook that stays in my backpack for noting random things while I am out and about. This way my Filofaxes don't get beaten up in my backpack and I have something handy for noting things on the go. The Leuchtterm is also pretty light which is good in the backpack.
  12. Please add me to the group. Yesterday's pic was the theater marquee - we went to see Star Wars again :) Today? pine in the snow.

    Hair Loss

Thanks! I recently noticed some serious thinning post-hyster surgery in August. I've read that it is common after general anesthesia too and seems to be abating finally. Years ago, I was dating a guy who was a hairdresser. A friend of mine, who was vegetarian, mentioned her hair thinning and when I mentioned it to my then-BF, the first thing he asked was if she was a vegetarian. He said in her case it was likely lack of protein since she was young...like 22.
  14. The only thing more frustrating than this? I was in a queue for an online support chat. Watched it count down from 35 people ahead of me to...being NEXT. A few seconds later, it cancelled the chat saying no one was available to assist me. I wanted to throw things. :)
  15. Yes, May 2017 from what I've seen. I have been leaning more towards Rey being related to Obi-Wan too. It would be a nice parallel, since Obi-Wan first gave Luke that light saber and now his descendant is bringing it back to Luke. Re: R2D2, his low power mode made me snicker - reminded me of the old guru meditation loop that the early Atari computers sometimes fell into. :)
  16. Those who have them, how do they compare to a Wet Jet?
  17. My new laptop has Win 10 on it and my touchpad is backwards too in scrolling. I didn't think much about it since my chromebook is the same. I'll look into the touchpad settings. I dislike touchpads though and have a small wireless mouse I carry with me if I"m using it for any length of time. The Most Used seems to pop up things that get opened often. If you right click on Skype, then click on More, do you have the 'Don't Show in this list' option? That will take it out.
  18. This sounds interesting and might be a nice mental break from all the studying :)
  19. I'm not ure re: the mouse. Are you on a laptop? It sounds like the mouse is reading like a touchpad does. Skype I was able to right click and unpin from the most used area. Regarding the resizing issue, go to Settings > System>Multitasking. There in that window are the snap settings. You can turn snap off entirely or turn off the automatically resize windows settings. Hope that helps some :)
  20. Bluemail Textra At Bat (Mlb app) Trivia Crack Hangouts
  21. If you like movies in this style, Somewhere In Time definitely fits :)
  22. Next theory from hubby - that Finn belongs to Lando which would be a cool twist and would fit with Maz's reaction. It would fit with him being forcibly taken from his family when he was little. We are going to see it again New Year's Day. Also, I am with dancingmama's DD - I really liked Adam Driver in this.
  23. I've been pondering the Plagueis idea and it has merit I think. Hubby is leaning towards Palpatine. Re: Rey, there's also the idea that she may be Obi-Wan's daughter, which I think is more likely than being Luke's offspring. Luke seems to have that whole monk thing going on. In the novels, he was involved with Mara Jade but since the new movies don't include the extended universe material, I have my doubts that she will figure into this.
  24. So.,,,now, any theories as to who Snoke is?
  25. Call me when the wrestling starts :)
