  1. Try uploading it to Google Docs, then opening it thereon your chromebook.
  2. I can also address the age factor. I will be 52 in June and will be headed to grad school in another semester or 2. I've been concerned about the age thing, but Thursday night we had our department awards ceremony and I was thrilled! A gentlemen finishing his Ph.D. is several years older than me, and a lad who just completed her masters is in her early 60's - and her thesis is being published as a book next year. Talk a nice bit of relief :)
  3. One thing I have noticed, however, is that the professors relate to me a little differently. More on an equal footing than professor/student. It took a little getting used to, I'll admit. Especially since most of them told me to call them by first name. I would NEVER have done that as a regular age college student :)
  4. I never did till my youngest was born. It was an emergency c- section and when they gave me the spinal, for some reason my blood pressure bottomed out. The drape they had set up across my chest suddenly seemed to be a huge issue for me and I was really having my own meltdown. Ever since then, I can't handle any space too tight or over my head and face. Elevators are okay though.
  5. We use ours regularly but I just bought a new bottle. It was in a shelf in the fridge door and I opened the door, the little rail fell off and everything on that shelf hit the floor and shattered. So...the W sauce is new, all the salad dressing...the teriyaki sauce...and the malt vinegar :)
  6. Congrats. I"m finishing up 4th semester on a 2nd Bachelors. I have 2 more and then grad school. At first it was odd, since with the exception of one professor, I'm older than the students AND the professors :) It's been great though and the students lots of fun. ETA: come jump into the group for us back-to-schoolers :)
  7. I'll second the ferrous gluconate - much easier on the stomach. I use Feosol's FG now and no issues with my stomach or with it slowing down my plumbing :) I've had anemia issues my whole life. My iron was always extremely low with all my pregnancies. I also had the 3x a day with orange juice during all of them.
  8. My skin has gotten much more dry over the years and I gave up the powdered mineral makeup. Even with moisturizer underneath, it still looked 'powdery'. I rarely wear foundation but tinted moisturizer/BB Cream is great if you want something to even out skin tone.
  9. Last night I was grocery shopping and stopped in the sardine area...and thought of all of you :)
  10. I will be 52 in June and I wear small ones everyday, other styles when I am going somewhere depending on the occasion. I have 3 holes in lower right ear, two in the lower left (the third was constantly sore so I let it close), and one in the top corner of my right ear. I want to get that third one redone, however. I love earrings! :)
  11. I went to Furman my first semester, then transferred to Presbyterian and graduated there. as for PC, Clinton is small but we never lacked for things to do and Greenville, Columbia and Charleston are all within an hour or three :) Laurens is a bit bigger and is about 15 minutes away. The professors I had there were amazing, and even now (30 years later) I am still in frequent contact with some of them. I loved my time there but it is a small town if that matters.
  12. YAY! Congrats! :hurray:
  13. It's interesting what J-rap said about her daughter and living in the Caribbean. I had almost non-stop issues when we lived in Dallas and Florida, but up here, where the climate is so very dry, I rarely have issues anymore except for a few specific things.
  14. Me too Jodi.,,saw it this morning!
  15. David Duchovny has been posting about it on Twitter :)
  16. I don't get the creeps easily, but Eugene Toombs still does it to me. We have been re-watching the series on Netflix and it's still good all these years later.
  17. Learning your triggers is a big thing. I have even learned that every brand of cooking spray I try except two, both store brands, will set me off in an instant :) and Yes, always have a rescuer inhaler, even if you don't need it often. You never know when something unexpected will get to you.
  18. I am also squeeing! and dancing :) :hurray:
  19. I agree with you all. It seems to be a way to (Yet again...some more) stress the over the top importance they place on standardized tests these days. One of my college roommates is a high school teacher in Florida and she is always raving against the crazy testing they are forced to do now and how much time it takes away from actual teaching that isn't teaching to the test.
  20. I've never encountered this either. Although, if CA law allows for her to sign a consent form, how can this clinic not abide by that?
  21. This. You can find your state's tenant laws online and have the applicable parts with you when you go in in. Good luck!
  22. *Raises hand* I hate my Keurig too. It's a dust collector on my counter - don't care for the coffee that comes out of it, even with my refillable cup and it is expensive. I have a french press I adore for w hen I only need one cup. I tried to give it to my mother and she didn't want it either. Apparently she has one my brother gave her that she isn't using... :) ETA: I've never been to Trader Joe's. None in my neck of the Montana woods. And I never put bread in the fridge, except when I lived in south Florida (things mold fast down there).
  23. I just bought several at Penney's - a couple are the JCP ones and the rest are St. John's Bay and they are great. I also have a bunch of White Stag tanks that I got at Walmart that have lasted through two summers and repeated washing and still look great. They also cover bra straps.
