ktgrok
My DD7 has outgrown most of her church dresses, and is also suddenly caring about fashion, not looking too young, etc. So, we need to buy some new dresses or other outfits. Our church is not super dressy, so doesn't need to be fancy. Right now she wants to wear the same thing EVERY week...a strappy sundress with a white sweater over it. Today that was dirty so she wore dark jeans and a tunic top. But then complained the jeans had too low of a rise. She also does NOT like her dresses to be too short. Any thoughts? Online is fine, maybe even better. She's a size 6x.
Rebel Yell
Old Navy? They seem to be stylish but not too "old" looking for girls
nixpix5
H&M online Children's Place online Mini Boden Hanna Andersson Tea Those are my favorites that often carry dresses that meet the criteria. I have often had some luck at Gap Kids.
itsheresomewhere
What about the cat and jack line at Target? Very nice clothes and soft, too. They have some really cute dresses now. They go up to a size 16.
SKL
I bought my kids' church dresses off ebay. I would search for jumper or dress. Yes, they were second-hand, but usually nicer than what was available in stores.
historically accurate
I've had really good luck with Heartstrings brand for girls' dresses.
MercyA
Bonnie Jean and Lands' End dresses tend to have more length. I think you can sometimes find Bonnie Jean dresses at places like Kohl's and Macy's, but I usually bought them on eBay.
Elastimom
Costco :) They almost always have a good selection of dresses for 6x.
meganrussell
I like Gymboree and Crazy 8. Not expensive, but good quality clothes. (GYMBOREE is better than Crazy 8, but both good). They're stylish without being too growny looking.
alisoncooks
At size 6, my girls wore mostly swing dresses/tunics and leggings. Mostly from Target, Walmart, Kohl's, Hanna Andersson, Lands End. Crazy 8 has cute, affordable clothes for smaller kids that doesn't look too babyish, nor too "grown." Kohl's is good for dressier stuff, but their more casual clothes have gotten too teenager-y for my tastes. I miss that stage/size in my kiddos; they were so cute. My youngest (9) wore a pair of mesh shorts and a tshirt to church today because she's gotten very anti-dressy and very picky about how clothes feel. Whatever. Just wear the darn shorts. ;)
chiguirre
Cat and Jack from Target have pieces that don't scream "little girl". Most of Trinqueta's summer stuff is C&J size 16 and she's very sensitive about not looking like a kid. (We buy C&J because T's still a tall, thin twig and anything with a bust line doesn't work). imagine.more
Old Navy and Cat & Jack at Target. Old Navy even has cute dresses for teens. You do often need to add a cardigan or jean jacket bit with good layers they're very cute!

Rachel
Children's Place, Target, Gymboree, Lands End, and JC Penney are currently where I find clothes for my daughter. I LOVE Mini Boden, but have only gotten those for her on consignment. She may like Justice, its not really my style but my daughter does enjoy window shopping there. Wilma
ThredUp, for everything! It's online resale, and I have done great there for my four girls. Returns are very easy, too.
