S/O of Dessert Poll -- egg yolks?

I think lemon bars use egg yolks, if I remember correctly. Yes, I just looked at my recipe and it uses four egg yolks. So you could make a dozen batches and send them to me. :)

 

ETA: This is the recipe I use, except I make a gluten free crust. I have the book this comes from, but found the recipe online. These are wonderful!

My mom always made a chocolate pie with the yolks when she had them leftover.  I don't know if I still have that recipe, but I imagine you can google.  It seems like it was supposed to have a meringue topping (to use the whites), but we just had whipped cream on it.

spritz cookies

Bavarian crème

pastry crème

any custard (which can also be turned into ice cream)

homemade mayonnaise.

 

you could do a tart with a spritz cookie crust and filled with a fruit custard. ;p

 

 

 

eta: you can freeze egg yolks.  so freeze them in batches of four, and you can pull them out the next time you need just yolks for a recipe.
