luuknam
Do the thing! With the ball! Put it in that place for points! Last time we were at Target I saw a couple of t-shirts along those lines. One was (iirc) "Make that homerun to the touchdown!", and I don't recall what the other one was. Just wanted to let y'all know in case you wanted t-shirts to show of your sportsball team spirit.
luuknam
Both the teams I was cheering for lost today. 😩😩 i think I am bad luck. If you cheer for both teams in the same game, you shouldn't have this problem.
luuknam
Lol, remember the guy who picked flowers out of my front yard for his date? Maybe it’s their anniversary and he decided to get her a potted phlox! I remember that. I think both you and Paige should get motion activated sprinklers and set them on stun. :D Or, alternatively, take some inspiration from the story of Rapunzel.
Jean in Newcastle
I am so frustrated with the celiac clinic thinking that we are doing gluten free wrong or are cheating just because we are still having problems. I KNOW that people with celiac can still have rashes etc. even with strict gluten free eating. We read labels obsessively and don't even buy things that are "made in the same facility as. . .". . We have a totally gluten free kitchen. I cook most of our own foods. We only get certified gluten free foods and while I know that there have been issues with that at times with companies, is it that wide spread? I know that we are more careful than the nutritionist even told us to be.

(((Jean and Events Planner))) The clinic thinks that you're doing it wrong or are cheating because so many people do it wrong or cheat. I know that many people have trouble with Pillsbury's gf products. I don't trust restaurants. I eat out very sparingly and only if I can afford to be sick for the next few days. I also don't trust gf oats. (I tested allergic to oats, just as I did to wheat. I don't know if I would be ok with gf oats and I'm too chicken to find out.) I didn't even know that Pillsbury had gf products! The bunnies eat gf oats but dd doesn't. We only go to two restaurants for the most part - a totally gluten free cafe that allows no other food on the premises due to the risk of cross contamination and a family restaurant that is run by a manager who is celiac and who is thus very very careful with their gluten free things. She's just continuing to have a very itchy celiac rash. Or so we think I did get the specialist and his nurse agree to let dd be seen by a dermatologist to confirm it and to help her.
KrissiK
Yes. Rapunzel's mom, while pregnant, craved the Rapunzel (some kind of garlic) which was growing in the next door neighbor's yard. She begged her husband to get her some, but he refused, because the neighbor was a witch. Anyway, after a bunch of begging and claiming she really needed it, he finally consented and climbed over the wall and picked some for his wife. The second night he did that, the witch caught him, and the only way she'd let him escape alive was if he'd give her the baby when the baby was born. Then the witch named the baby Rapunzel after the stolen garlic, and locked her into a tower, and she got long hair, etc, then a prince came along, then the witch cut off Rapunzel's hair and banished her to a desert, let the prince climb off the cut-off hair until he was nearly to the top of the tower and then made him fall, so he hit his head really hard and lost his eye sight, then he wandered around as a blind man for many years, until he came to a desert where he heard someone singing, and then they were reunited and when Rapunzel's tears fell on his eyes he became able to see again. And they lived happily ever after.Yep, I remember that story now. Sad and scary!!

Junie
Made me snort. Attracted funny looks from my kids. Now they're annoyed that I won't explain. That's funny, too. Squishy keeps grabbing my face to turn it toward him. Then he looks very intently at me and yells, "Oreeeahhh! Glemph!" Five minutes later, he'll do it again. I don't know what he means. For a long time, dd9 would say "na-na" for everything. "Na-na" and point. It took us several months to figure out that she was trying to say her name. :)

Critterfixer
The boys learned what kind of time it takes to prepare a full meal from scratch for four people. It's quite good, but really, they've been working on it in some form or the other since one this afternoon. I showed them how to make good use of the time while things are cooking, but I think they came away with a new appreciation for the time it takes to make good food.

Critterfixer
It's never too soon to learn that kind of thing. I remember how tired I used to get when I was learning to cook out of cookbooks borrowed from the library. About three months ago, I was making a simple meal from scratch, and I realized how much my stamina and patience had grown. I was amazed when I understood that a large part of that growth was directly attributable (is that a word?) to cooking and to completing household chores regularly. It's a priceless training tool. That's one reason I want them working hard on acquiring kitchen skills. I also want them to appreciate the time and energy that goes into making a meal for others. It's really something special when someone cooks for you--at least I feel that way, and I'd like them to have a chance to come to conclusions of their own. KrissiK
Ok, so, i’ve Decided to Bullet Journal again, but with a twist.... i’m Doing it My Way!!! I got a composition book, divided up into 12 sectiones by month and am just writing things down in it. Whatever I want. However I want. My problem is... I love to get organized, but then I become a slave to the organization. And then I quit. I had the most beautiful BuJo last January. It lasted 2 months. But I do need something to write things down in, so I bOught another composition book (I love those, I buy lots.... only $0.88 each at The Afsa) and made a new one. The way I wanted it. I feel so free!!

Renai
Cool. I've been wondering if I'd be able to pass the listening section on the (Spanish) CLEP. I mean, I'd been thinking I wouldn't be able to, between my mild hearing impairment and probably auditory processing issues (I struggle with background noise a lot more than most people), but then a little while back DW was sitting on the couch listening to some EU parliamentarian talking about the need for unity etc on her phone, and I was on the other side of the couch, and listened along and understood almost all of it. DW on the other hand, thought it was in Italian until she realized I was listening along. (she blamed it on the guy having a weird accent, what with her being from South Texas) Background noise shouldn't be a problem on the test because you'll have headphones. I believe there are samples on the CLEP site. Italian has a different rhythm.

KrissiK
I’m back. I joined the handbell choir at church. I played bells in my youth from 6th grade on through college with the same group of kids. We were really close all those years and had a lot of fun. Back then church had 3 youth bell choirs. Things tapered off quite a bit and now there’s basically one adult bell choir. But, I love it. We’re working on Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah†right now.
