MamaBearTeacher
My 13-year old son is not doing well. He cannot sleep at night and he is exhausted. He has severe special needs and he is moaning all day and all night and the extreme fatigue and agony is very apparent in his voice. It is so sad and he is acting crazy with fatigue and it is impacting his health very badly. I feel scared all the time and want him to sleep so badly and it is so hard. klmama
:grouphug: Poor guy. I will pray for him right now. Would he take anything to help him get to sleep? Warm milk? Melatonin? It does come in liquid drops which have very little flavor, so you might be able to hide them in something, if needed. The moaning makes me wonder if he's in pain. Is he able to communicate tummy aches or headaches to you? Has a doctor checked him over? :grouphug: and prayers for you, too. It's so hard when your child is suffering and you don't know how to help.
mamakelly
Low b12 can contribute to insomnia. WHen we balanced out my ds's b12 levels, he slept much better. ((hugs)) do your ds.

MamaBearTeacher
Thank you so much everybody! My screen froze last night after I posted this and then I brought him outside most of the day today because being outside and continuous walking seemed to provide him with some relief. he stayed up until 3 am last night but today he was a bit better so I really think the prayers worked! keep them coming! I do think he is in a lot of pain. It's really hard to know what exactly. I did notice some reflux yesterday which he hasn't has in a long time. he also keeps trying to get me to massage the back of his neck. I wonder about his hormones too and his energy levels have been really weird. Sometimes he seems to have a huge amount of energy in his arms and legs and he can't seem to contain himself even though he tries. Over the years, he has seen over 30 doctors, and many alternative medicine doctors, naturopaths and other healers. I wish this had helped him in some way. It has been very frustrating but I still want relief for him. He is such a sweetheart and tries so hard!

It can help sleep and muscles and even reflux (if there is a bit of a deficiency going on). I like a product called Natural Calm that is a powder that you dissolve in warm water. I use it for my own problems with my chronic pain, muscle cramping and insomnia.

mom31257
Praying! I am keeping my special needs nephew this week, and he's been fatigued and not sleeping well the last couple of weeks. I pray they both feel better and get the rest they need.
Slartibartfast
:grouphug: I am terribly sorry he seems to be in pain. What sort of diagnostic tests have they done? Could you try putting a hot pad on his neck? If it is inflammation then aleve is good for that, can you give him OTC meds?
