(according to that article) I don't know much about how earthquakes work, but I thought aftershocks happened the same day or maybe the next… not almost a month later! Yes, aftershocks can happen for months and months after a major earthquake. However, it's all just semantics. Being an aftershock doesn't make it any less serious than if it were the initial quake.
