Blue Hen
My local paper ran an article on homeschooling so of course their poll for today is whether or not you are in favor of homeschooling. The positive hs vote is lagging behind the negatives. Please place your vote. No registration is necessary. http://www.delawareonline.com/ The poll is about 3/4 of the way down the page, in the middle of the page, and next to the Letter to the Editor. You can find the hs article here: http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2009909010354

The article isn't just about homeschooling but about homeschooling other people's kids.

Blue Hen
True she homeschools other kids and the article does focus upon that. Delaware law permits a homeschooler to homeschool other children. Laurie just turned it into a business, to homeschool her own and charge to homeschool others. Under Delaware law she's a homeschooler. I wonder though if the attention from this article will result in a little change in the law.....Delaware is such a small state. Pink Fairy
I just can't believe there were so many no votes in the first place! :svengo: I must live in a bubble, but I though hsing was a lot more acceptable now, almost mainstream. mommaduck
It is mainstream...see, it's split almost down the middle ;)
Pink Fairy
Yes, but I bet a disproportionate number of yes votes are coming from here, which is not exactly representative of the general population when it comes to hsing (or are you being funny and I'm stating the obvious? :D). Vanna
Had a thought... isn't the question kinda "vague"? I mean, a person could take the question in the poll to mean, "Are you in favor of homeschooling -- for you and your family?" I know a lot of people who think it's *great* that I homeschool, but wouldn't want to do it themselves. Anyway, HURRAY FOR HOMESCHOOL!!! Let freedom reign!!!;) My local paper ran an article on homeschooling so of course their poll for today is whether or not you are in favor of homeschooling.
