  1. I've never been a fan of Dave Ramsey. This blog entry did not win him any points.
  2. I'm sorry your children are not feeling well. My little one asks for soup for he doesn't feel well and my teen would rather not eat when he is sick. I don't like/want to eat when I am sick either. The weather here is very warm and humid :( It was 88 today. I've recently discovered Tower Solitaire and I play it a lot more than I feel comfortable confessing to ;)
  3. Put it in the crock pot, cover it with about 1/3 pkg of dry ranch mix, a full packet of au jus sauce, top with a stick of butter and several hot chile or peppercini peppers. Delicious! My family requests this at least once a week.
  4. We keep our board games on the shelf in our entry closet. It works well for us.
  5. I second Kingdom and another Martin Clunes series Reggie Perrin. I started watching Finding God awhile back and it was pretty good. I haven't gotten very far into it but I have enjoyed it so far. It has Stephanie Cole in it.

  9. It is frustrating! I think some people are just wired differently. My husband is almost 45 and I ask him almost everytime he walks out the door if he has his phone and wallet. Ask me how many times he has gone to town to get something and left his wallet at home ;)

  16. Has anyone found out if she is pregnant??
  17. Bubble wrap--I bought it at walmart. If I remember we paid less than $20 for a huge roll of it. http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?ic=16_0&Find=Find&search_query=bubble+wrap&Find=Find&search_constraint=0
  18. Last year my husband made our then 2 year old a busy board. It's 2 peg boards put together w/door hinges. On one side it's all gears. On the other side it has a steering wheel, a zipper, padlock and keys, wheels, door springs, flashlight w/light switch, and buzzer/sound buttons. There are a lot of busy board ideas on pinterest, too. It was a great gift and a year later he is still playing with it.
  19. My 3 year old wants to be a blue triangle. Blue poster board here we come! Cheapest, easiest costume ever!
  20. My oldest son asked for bubble wrap one Christmas--best gift ever!! He's 16 now and I think he would still be thrilled if bubble wrap was under the tree this year!

  22. cut in half, salt, proper, olive oil put in the oven and top with bacon, right before it's done sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.
  23. Groceries are so expensive! Our grocery bill runs around $800/month and I do not buy organic. I should say that all household/grocery items are included in that $800. I do buy lots of fresh produce and I do buy the occasional junk food. We eat meat and I cook from scratch. I buy very few convenience foods. I shop at walmart and have them price match. I save anywhere from a few dollars to $30+ on grocery trips. I know people hate walmart but right now it is the cheapest place in town to buy groceries. I can go to other grocery stores and I will spend almost the same and bring home only half of what I could purchase at walmart. There are 4 of us--dh and myself, a teenage boy and a 3 year old boy that some days I'm sure eats as much as his brother!
  24. BBQ chicken thighs, corn and salad
