  1. I would just list the Science courses that she has taken even though she took Bio in 8th(I would definitely leave out the 8th grade part--no one cares about that in a college admissions office--they just want to see that she took it and passed it.) If you have to for 9th grade say Bio I, 10th grade next Science course, 11th grade next Science course and 12th grade Bio II or a name that better suits what she will be studying.
  2. Dwarf Elementary Halfling Middle School Isengard High School These are what ds came up with
  3. Books I want to read: Atlas Shrugged The Count of Monte Cristo The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series I have about 300 books downloaded on my kindle that I want to read
  4. Texas gives 1/2 credit but I don't plan on listing it.
  5. Not to be cliche but I would rather stick hot pokers in my eyes than read Hemingway! I did enjoy The Great Gatsby though.
  6. We are watching Here Comes the Boom tonight. All I know is the basic story-line, that it stars Kevin James and that it is rated PG.
  7. Dh is the coffee drinker. He likes Folgers Black Silk.
  8. I have been looking for a cherry pitter. Where did you get yours?
  9. From and lived in TX all my life so yes, I know the term. Our town has a celebration every year.
  10. Just so you know...Sonic shakes are half price after 8:00 pm. We may or may not have had the peanut butter bacon shake... ;)
  11. I started off as a Sociology major. I wanted to be a grief counselor at hospital. Then I briefly changed to accounting, then Elementary Ed/Early Childhood with emphasis in Reading and finally ended up getting a degree in English and History.
  12. We went and it just happened to be our last day of school, too! Our Sonic was packed--the stalls were full and the drive-thru was a continuous line. We waited about 20 minutes for our order to be delivered.
  13. When my grandmother passed away all the grandkids had an arrangement made. It was one of those easel ones. My grandpa, mom and siblings paid for the red rose spray on the casket.
  14. We have an iComfort Serta bed. We bought it earlier this year on sale at Mattress Firm. It is by far the best bed we have ever had.
  15. It was a movie conversation that spurred it but then I googled and there are lots of thoughts about Nick from the book being gay. I haven't seen the new movie.
  16. Have I been living under a rock? Nick Carraway is gay?? I have read this book numerous times. Oldest ds and I just read it this school year. I have a degree in English from a state university with professors that had no problem discussing any type of real or made-up ideas about $e%uality in books that were taught. I was never taught and the subject was never broached that Nick was supposed to be gay. It never crossed my mind. So is the topic of Nick Carrawy being gay just because of our culture or what?
  17. I wouldn't think anything of letting it set for 30 mins. I would eat it.
  18. The last couple of years I have ordered from Rainbow. They have excellent customer service. They also have a fb page if you are on fb and they answer questions on there almost immediately. I have also received emails quickly, too and I have been able to call them and add things to my order when I forgot them on an online order. They have free shipping right now for orders over $50(delivered by DHL or USPS--$150 spent will get you free UPS shipping). They do give you a tracking number after your items ship. I don't know about the west coast but I live in TX and get my shipments within a week if not sooner. Sometimes I've had items on back order and that obviously takes longer but that has only happened twice. I really like Rainbow. I know things may take longer now as convention season starts up and more people start ordering supplies.
  19. One year my son asked for bubble wrap--I got him one of those giant rolls for about $20--I know he had more than $20 worth of fun with it!
  20. I previously taught preschool and pre-k. I gave a lot of things away...then I had ds2. I bought this book recently just to refresh my brain on preschool activities. It has a lot of the same ideas I used in the classroom and it covers Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Art&Music and Gross Motor Skills. A lot of these ideas can be found for free online, too. I like having one book to look at A to Z Early Childhood Curriculum
  21. What is your favorite comfort food? I have several depending on mood...fried chicken and homemade mac and cheese, good potato chips and a glass of milk, and of course chocolate! Have you ever done yoga, tai chi or even Feldenkrais? I have attempted yoga in my living room--it is not a pretty site lol And today's totally random question: Do you like licorice and if you do, do you like red or black licorice better? I like them both, but I probably like red just a little bit more than black.
