  1. Yes, it'll help with the first onset of cold symptoms too. (How did the other tread get shut down?)
  2. Ditto, Bill. Wishing you and yours the best. :)
  3. They get out of *that* situation, but, you know, it's a series of UNFORTUNATE events, so naturally, they fall right into a new bad situation. I found the books extremely tiresome, and none of my dc really like them either. There's just only so much suspension of disbelief one can manage, kwim? :)
  4. Meh. Life's too short to worry about stuff like this. We spend hours of our week at the library, and I have noticed absolutely no uptick in our rates of illness. OTOH, I'm the total opposite of a germophobe. :)
  5. Hustle is awesome! And the actor who plays Mickey Bricks? THE most beautiful man. :svengo: :001_wub:
  6. I agree; I can wear Borns, or my cowboy boots, (which shocked the heck out of me, believe me!) all day long.
  7. Also, Danskos may not be for everyone; I can't wear mine all day long, because they make my feet ache. My mother on the other hand wears hers all the time, and loves them. I think it must have to do with the shape of your foot. :)
  8. Spring rolls--rice paper, filled with chicken, shrimp, or tofu; julienned carrots, cucumbers, avocado; basil or mint or cilantro; rice noodles. Yummy! You can find how-to advice online. :)
  9. Does each RC parish (or should each parish) have a Sister assigned to it? I don't know that any of the ones in my nearby larger town do, but I know the Newman Center in the college town south of me does, or used to, so I was curious.
  10. We enjoyed Cold Comfort Farm a couple of weeks ago. It was hilarious, but never stupid.
  11. We've six, and I think it's large, but not huge. :) I always wanted at least 5, so we're right where we expected. :)
  12. Ds in 6th spelled it without hesitation. He's an intuitive speller, fwiw.
  13. Also, try the homeopathic remedy occillococsinum. It works, and can't hurt baby. So sorry, mama. Feel better fast! :grouphug:
  14. I agree. I was just curious to hear others' thoughts on the article. :)

  16. I like living in the immediate vicinity of Sioux Falls, but I don't know what kind of tourist destination it would make. The things there are to do here are not things I'd personally travel far to see, kwim? Unless there's a concert or similar when you're planning to come through, I don't know what you'd do, especially in March. :)
  17. I refused with my last pregnancy, as I had no symptoms, no history, and basically, I just really didn't think I needed to. Like you, I eat and ate well, though not perfectly, and just didn't think that nasty thing was going to give an accurate representation of how my body'd respond anyway. My midwife was fine with it, though I was a year past the recommended age, because she'd been seeing me for a long time and through enough pregnancies that she could judge that I didn't need to do it.
  18. Dds and I will do one also. Great idea, Brandy!
  19. Thanks, Kai! I find some of these too muddlesome for my word-oriented brain. :)
