  1. Christine, my answer falls somewhere in the middle. ;) I'd offer a graduation date of next December/January BUT only if he had made the necessary plans, taken the tests, completed the work and arranged transportation. If he isn't open to a long discussion, simply let him know what you expect and need to plan yourself. And do give him a deadline. This option would allow some time for maturity. fwiw, Looking back on my graduation at 17, I'm not a fan of early graduation.
  2. Congratulations! Years ago, my mom and dad renewed their vows.
  3. My teen and I have been watching together for a few years... Tatiana...:nopity: We don't plan on missing her.:D
  4. :grouphug: I think your ideas are good ones, but since it could be a hereditary chemical imbalance/depression, I'd take him in and find out. That way you will know which treatment(s) are best for him.:grouphug:
  5. I can't wait to try these. Somewhere (I hope) I have an old blond brownie mix recipe from a friends grandma...
  6. I'm exploring this idea, but my laundry room is tiny. The winter drying here would have to be inside, and I'm considering a line in the basement. I'd love one of the up and down pulley-style racks.
  7. I've got hardwood and it is easy to keep it clean with a simple sweep and damp mop routine.
  8. It sounds like an adventure to me. Disclaimer...I've moved to Japan, the Philippines, Germany, Italy and numerous US places without visiting first. Each and every place was exciting and a blessing.
  9. I'm glad you're feeling better and praying for you. :grouphug:
  10. Yes, I believe that was during my ds's "why" stage. I spent so much time in the bathroom pretending to be busy, but in truth I was just enjoying a moments peace. PS...This strategy also works for weaning, potty training and many other parenting issues. :grouphug: Hang in there, Jo.:grouphug:
  11. That is truly sad. I'd call the hospice and encourage them to contact the other family. :grouphug: Hugs and prayers for you and your neighbors.
  12. :iagree: I'm following in my mom's footsteps. We were her priority while we were kids and I love that she was such an awesome mom. She is and always was an amazing person;).
  13. :iagree: My thinking would also be...He's 18 and can handle this either way himself.
