  1. Poor kid.:grouphug: I'm not sure about the 2nd degree and would ask the doctor, but my mom always used just the inside of the aloe plant. You can buy the clear aloe most anyplace now in a bottle. My ds had a little burn on his chin when he was little. The doctor said to keeping him out of the sun was very important to avoid scarring.
  2. :tongue_smilie::tongue_smilie::tongue_smilie: Figures, it was only a matter of time...I'm not real comfortable with the debit pin anymore anyway.
  3. I use and haven't bought uncooked bacon in years. Fresh is best, but no one around here complains...15 seconds and wa-la...bacon. I can't stand cleaning up real bacon grease; I'm lazy and it grosses me out.
  4. Just bake them covered in the oven; you'll be able to keep them whole, but tender that way.
  5. :iagree: They certainly have their priorities. Here in my state, the teachers have not taken pay cuts; they have received increases in salary and benefits. This is also a highly unionized state, and they are powerful enough to keep out charter schools.
  6. I make a crust-less quiche. Pretty much fill the buttered pie plate with anything that sounds yummy and top with the 6 eggs/milk or cream mixture. Then simply bake and serve. This simple one freezes and reheats well. I love them in the winter. We love spinach quiche and more traditional ones.
  7. Same deal here...two times in a row. The city consensus now is to hope this one completes his contract, so we don't have to pay another one to do nothing.
  8. I'd go with freezing it too. Way back at school, they served it between two saltines with cheese.
  9. :grouphug: You can call your doctor; it might make you feel better.
  10. My nephew is a 13 yold aspie, asking him to look as though he means an apology (ie..not sounding snotty) is just beyond his abilities. He is trying, but really needs a lot of understanding as he wades though the teen years. :grouphug:Boys are a hormonal handful at that age.
  11. I hear you... My next response to b or c is...I'm highly allergic to (insert product / pushy sales people).
  12. :iagree: She however, flies the friendly skies with her dog, takes her into hotel rooms, restaurants, shopping centers...you name it. (She is very outspoken and no one is willing to risk their job over it.) That is, unless she wants to do something without her service dog...then the dog stays home.
  13. Teamwork is a valuable skill, I just wish the team members all knew how to and wanted to work. In hindsight, I learned management skills...drop the dead weight when ever possible. Actual teamwork can be learned in many places, and many of them are much better than a classroom.
  14. :iagree: I sure hope they feel all better soon. If you have discovery ed or other interesting educational videos, they can be enjoyable and somewhat educational. My dd always loved crafts or baking cookies..
