  1. I would say it was very rude based both on what she said and how the class reacted. Personally, I wouldn't speak to a child or adult that way, but I also was raised to believe shut-up was rude.
  2. :grouphug: Mark it on you calendar and drop plenty of hint / reminders next year.
  3. :grouphug: You poor thing. I turn up the heat, but I pretty much stay cold throughout the winter. Things that help some are silk long-johns, lined slippers or boots, and lots of layers.
  4. Oh wow, I'm glad you can save your canned goods. How heartbreaking it would be to work so hard and loose everything. Thank you Diane, I may try your freezer method in the future. I'm too chicken to try actual canning.
  5. Oh goodness, I didn't see where that was going:auto:. Poor kid, and you must have had one of those moments we moms dread.
  6. It certainly happened here more than once. To avoid it ds's curriculum is different, except for math.
  7. I pretty much agree with you. Personally, I would not have said the word to the 11 yold. We don't curse in our home, and my kids probably wouldn't have recognized the word at that age. Later, I did later make sure they were familiar with curse and a few derogatory words to avoid embarrassment, but I didn't drill them into their heads like their math facts. And around here WT...could easily mean WTH or WTF, but no one would get WITW from it.
  8. Snort...oh my.:tongue_smilie: OP...I think Ria, is right. Many people will think it means WTF, and your dd needs to know that. I'm sorry she had such an embarrassing first day. If you want to mention it to the other mother that would be fine.
  9. Philosophy's Purity, and I love their Hope moisturizer. I have very sensitive skin.
  10. :grouphug:You can do this, one step at a time. I'm very sorry and sending prayers your way for strength. (We went through this in July with fil.)
  11. How exciting. It's pretty normal to be worried, but just think tomorrow...you'll be holding you new little one in your arms. Hugs and prayers.:grouphug:
  12. Muffins are pretty easy and can be healthy.
  13. :grouphug:Yes, they will get older and it will get easier; it wont be perfect, but it will be easier. :grouphug:You have a tiny one, cut yourself a break and enjoy the little people, because they will grow up before you're ready.:grouphug:
  14. Frost is on the forecast for tonight...:tongue_smilie:I may have to turn the heater on today to burn off the dust. Bleck...:tongue_smilie:
