Slache
Not disconcerting at all. She's in second grade and deschooling. Perfectly fine. I did worse the first semester of dd16's 10th grade year. You remember all my earlier posts? Izzy could school for an hour (30 minutes each reading and math), and be fine. Everything else is gravy. Gravy, I tell ya. In fact, Izzy could do less and still be ahead, because she's already ahead, if I remember correctly. I love ya, Slash, but on this one, the worry is unwarranted. I agree completely. My issue wasn't that he wasn't doing something, but that he didn't have the time to do something. Now that he's telecommuting I'm sure it will be easier. Renai
Ok, that sounds easy enough. There's a curriculum for everything. Years ago, I had found Japanese taught in Spanish for free online. Greek in Spanish: http://www.goethe-verlag.com/book2/ES/aprende-griego-online.html(modern Greek) Links to other sites teaching Classic Greek in Spanish. http://doceoetdisco.blogspot.com/2013/10/aprender-griego-clasico.html After all, not only English-speaking people want to learn other languages. JoJosMom
I can also birth like nobody's business, while we're at it. I could probably be a paid birther. Junie
So, regarding the IEW conversation the other day... IEW has a freebie today (mentioned on another thread somewhere) that is *I think* exactly what I need -- a two-hour overview dvd on how the course works. And my IEW history-based writing should be in the mail. :) You will hear my kids groaning in about 10 days...

Susan in TN
I am a very calm birther as well, with the exception of the end of delivering my last baby. My water broke and I was in hard labor for about 3 hours, and finally dd (all 9lb, 6oz of her) decided to descend and went from -5 to crowning in 20 minutes. That was torture. I think I scared the news photographer who was waiting outside the room. :D
