Night Elf
What are some healthy boxed cold cereal choices? I don't like raisins.

Cinder
I like the pumpkin flax granola by nature's path. I prefer to eat it with plain Greek yogurt.
happi duck
Uncle Sam cereal...I've only had the original but it looks like there's a few varieties. Bob's Red Mill meusli...might have raisins though
hornblower
My favourite cold cereal is Nature's Path Organics Flax Plus Flakes. http://us.naturespath.com/product/flax-plusr-flakes
Mandylubug
wheat chex is my go to or a granola cereal. I rotate brands. I can't afford organic typically but do look for sales. I have found organic typically has a higher sugar content, though. So, I have to be careful.
Ali in OR
I like Kashi GoLean Crunch. Pretty high in fiber and protein--keeps me satisfied. 9 g protein, 8 g fiber, 13 g sugar. Non GMO verified. Pretty tasty too.
milovany
We like Mom's Best brand. Some stores have it in the healthy food section, some in the regular cereal section. They tout their cereals as being all-natural and environmentally friendly. They're also affordable compared to most organic/natural brands (usually about $2.00 a box, but I just stocked you when the local store put them on sale at $1.28 each; these are regular to big sized boxes). Cereal isn't a really healthy way to start the day in the first place, but this is what we like to have if we're having cereal.
ashfern
I've been making my own granola. I let the kids pick out the type of nuts & dried fruit that they wanted in it.
Night Elf
Define 'healthy'? Are you avoiding sugar, or what specifically? Oh I'm sorry. Basically I'm looking for something other than sugary cereal. Ds eats only Lucky Charms, but I'm bored with it. DH eats only Multigrain Cheerios but I am bored with that too. I thought it might be nice to try something new and figured I'd be better off looking for something healthy.
Peaceful Isle
I buy only organic cereal, which can be expensive, but you also know that it is not loaded with high fructose corn syrup, colors, and gmos. That being said, Fresh and easy has their organic brand of cereal and it is relatively cheap and has things like coco balls, and honey ohs etc.. It has kid friendly pictures on the fron that look pealing to children which is a plus.
clementine
Wheat Chex, Grape Nuts, Special K Vanilla Almond.....okay, that last one may not be super healthy, but it is like dessert to me.
whitestavern
I like Alpen. Uncle Sam berries is good too.
Reefgazer
Plain Post Shredded Wheat - whole grain, no added sugar, no sodium, no fat. Some would say no taste, but I like it, and I like it plain.
ondreeuh
Special K with Red Berries (spoiler: they're strawberries) is really yummy. We also like Honey Bunches of Oats.
SparklyUnicorn
I love cereal. I can't eat it though. It makes me very hungry. Odd...
Liz CA
Very few boxed cereals are healthy. They use an extrusion process that destroys anything good that was in the raw material. If I absolutely needed some cereal, I'd look at Nature's Best. They have several choices - without raisins.
Cinder
I love cereal. I can't eat it though. It makes me very hungry. Odd... That's because it's puffed sugar. I tell my dc I'm not paying $4 for a box of air and sugar. lol. When we do get cereal we tend to eat it as a dessert.
gingersmom
Golden Graham's, Cheerios or lucky charms The problem with cereal is a serving size is so tiny and before you know it you have eaten 2-3 servings and consumed a ton of calories. Rockhopper
Life works around here -- keeps the peeps decently full til lunch, and it *seems* like a treat cereal. We all really like Great Grains -- the crunchy pecans has no raisins, and I just pick the raisins out of the one that does have them (Dates and Raisins, or some such). We like the knockoff brand Raisin Bran Crunch, and again, I pick out the raisins.
Mandylubug
I love cereal. I can't eat it though. It makes me very hungry. Odd... because it is missing bacon.
