mirth Posted May 21, 2014 Share Posted May 21, 2014 ... Kalanamak died, and I miss her very much. My life and journey were enriched immeasurably for having befriended her in any sense. For any one who joined in the last year, Kalanamak, whose real name was Kay, was a medical doctor who lived a thousand interesting lives even before she started homeschooling. She posted frequently in spite of a demanding job at a hospital until she became quite ill and entered hospice. She was a rare and insanely bright light -- better described as a force of nature by her loved ones. It seems unlikely and too much to hope for to come across two such people in one lifetime. I looked forward to her balanced insights on the more controversial issues here. She always made me think or laugh. She was a treasure here. Rest in peace Kay.
