I read the instructions in two math books, one physics book and still couldn't understand the WHY. Brilliant Posted October 17, 2011 Share Posted October 17, 2011 My 15yo hates school in general but loves Khan. I wish we could use it for all subjects. It basically links us to youtube videos, but we love it! (this is for the youngers, there is more for the olders) This morning we watched subtraction and counting to 100 videos. Is it for 2nd graders (and their Mommy's) too? :) When I introduce new math concepts, e.g. long division, we go over it in our math program, and stumble along a bit, and then I have him watch the Khan vid on the topic (they seem to be about 10 minutes long). A couple days later we watch it together, again, and encourage him to tell me the steps. I sometimes turn down the volume.
