Spy Car
I was undecided between Return and Empire. I voted Return of the Jedi. The only two Lucas didn't direct :D Bill
WishboneDawn
Another nice sexy pic... Just imagine they're battling for your attention Oh Ewan. He was the one spectacularly good thing about those movies. On a side note I remember watching 2 and seeing a scene where Padme was wearing some some of weird black outfit. It was an indoors scene and the outfit was a skirt, black bustier and, I think, elbow length arm covering. It looked like a dominatrix outfit and seemed rather, er, tasteless and out of character. Then I watched the behind the scenes stuff and saw George Lucas proudly announce that he had designed one of Padme's costumes. Guess which one? Ew. Although I've lost my faith in Bill I have to agree, what made the earliest three movies work was how much control GL had to give over. What sunk the latest three was how much control he had. A little bit a GL is good. Too much is awful.
nmoira
Wow. I think I don't even care what size your books are now.:glare: Bill is showing his age here. Sugarfoot
I can't choose between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. I remember my uncle dropping off me and my brother and cousins at the theatre to see A New Hope. I thought is was the greatest movie EVER! Harrison Ford will always be Han Solo to me. And I was the kind of little girl who had no time for Princess Leia. I wanted to be Han Solo. Now we have dogs named Luke and Leia, and DS 15 has every single John Williams song available on iTunes on his iPod. DD 5 routinely asks to speak to Yoda, who DS 15 imitates with great hilarity. Star Wars is big here...;)
Shawna in Texas
Oh Ewan. He was the one spectacularly good thing about those movies. The only redeeming thing about these last (first? :glare:) three was the scene in #3 where Obi Wan is screaming at Anakin about how he loved him and was his brother and boo hoo. I thought it was pretty great. (To be fair, Ewan McGregor can make me cry pretty easily. I saw I Love You, Phillip Morris this week and dang it, he had me tearing up again.) nmoira
Oh Ewan. He was the one spectacularly good thing about those movies. But his spectacularly good thing was kept under wraps, or in this case, robes. Sorry (and I'll keep the innuendo to a minimum)... I was adamant about not going to see any of the, ahem, prequels unless (young) Obi-Wan got to strut his stuff, which was admittedly my way of saying never. I mean, Jar Jar and Count Dooku... who the heck can take that seriously?

Matryoshka
:iagree: The Wrath of Khan was much better than any of the Star Wars movies, but there were some Star Trek movies that stunk up the joint too. Bill Well, yes. Even numbered Star Trek movies = Good. Odd-numbered Star Trek movies = Smelly cheese. Actually, it may just be II and IV. What was the plot of VI again? And Next Generation should never have been canceled and what they did to the show in the movies was pretty much unforgivable. Captain Picard on a four-wheeler through the dunes??? Yeah, tell me another time on any Star Trek, any iteration, that does not involve time travel to the past, that you have seen a wheeled vehicle, no less one involved in what amounts to a car chase. :glare: Whoops, I'm rambling. :tongue_smilie:

amyable
Star Wars movies...my favorite is 1V A New Hope. So many great lines you can quote: But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters! (said in a most whining voice) You can waste time with your friends when your chores are done. ... Will somebody get this walking carpet out of my way? Well, somebody has to save our skins. Into the garbage chute, flyboy! Garbage chute. Really wonderful idea. What an incredible smell you've discovered! Let's get out of here! Get away from there... We "rediscovered" Star Wars with our kids this summer and now my children can all sing this in 4 part harmony: I'm having trouble voting though. I want to vote for parts of each (except 3). :D In my mind I kind of consider the first 3 (meaning 4, 5, and 6! ;)) as one long movie. I like that one the best. The eye candy in 1, 2, and 3 gets my vote as well.

BatmansWife
I so wanted to hate that movie, but Ewan, the scamp, steadfastly refused to let me do it. He had me from The Hills are Alive.
