How often do you read WTM?

Just got home from the library and picked up WTM again. This will be my third reading in.... a year? Maybe a year and a half. And I'm as excited as I was the first time, possibly even more so since I know what awaits me.

 

Help me feel less crazy and admit that you re-read it often also! :D

I don't read through it completely, just whatever is interesting me at the time. I pull it out at least every few months, if not more, especially when I'm researching curricula for next year. :)

I read it a few times a year, but not all the way through. I am using the WTM plan for my 8 yo and for high school history/literature and rhetoric, so I look those over a lot.

Yearly, but not cover to cover. I just read the parts that are relevant to where we are in the planning process for the coming year.

I read it cover to cover the first time, but now I browse through the relevant sections about once a month. Same with LCC.

We haven't homeschooled in 3 yrs, so I look at mine rarely for our own family; but I do refer to it occasionally (3 to 5 times a year) for specifics, when I am counseling new hs-ers, or talking to the mom of the 5 yr old I part-time nanny for (beginning to hs this summer!). I find myself using Well-Educated Mind much more often, as more of an auto-didact than formal teacher now.

 

Meant to say that when we did hs, I referred to it often, mostly during yearly planning.

I reread it every summer before our next school year starts. I've been reading it since my ds was first born, so this coming summer will be my 8th time through. :)

I've read it cover-to-cover a couple of times. Mostly now though I'll read it during planning and at a bit of the relevant info in the summer prior to school starting.

Ditto. I use mine as a reference. Especially on literature and history.

I read it pretty much every summer and every winter, just to refresh my memory and keep an eye on where we're going. :)

I read it all the time.

I also quote endlessly from it for my uni assignments. I am studying to be a primary school teacher., and there hasn't been an essay yet that I haven't used WTM as one of my references.

I rarely read through it any more. I would say I flip through it for info once every other month. Instead I just refer to the notecards I made. :D It goes much quicker.

Cover-to-cover the 1st edition twice and the newest edition once. I use both as a reference frequently, particularly for history and literature.
