  1. I need moving advice! Which would you choose? Option #1 - 1200 sq. Ft., cheap enough for us to take the rv out every weekend if we wanted, in ground pool, sex offender down the street but zero crime in a 5 mile radius, built in the 70s. We would have to move in 2 weeks and have not started. Option #2 - 2300 sq ft, more expensive so would have to limit camping to once a month, no crime in the neighborhood but some in neighboring ones, only 5 yrs old. We would not have to move until August.
  2. Depends on the nook. My dd has the very first ine and my ds has the simple touch and neither have a cc attached to it. They buy off gift cards. I'm not sure how I did it though.
  3. I just pm'd you. But to answer your question, we school for shorter days but do a little bit every day. Sometimes it's just reading and math but it's something. And I cut out subjects that weren't core such as art and music. We took off the month of r&r and that put us behind so we aren't doing summer vacation. I figure it'll all work out in the end.
  4. We have this http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-TS2-Waterproof-Stabilized-2-7-Inch/dp/B003960F7K I love it!
  5. I usually just respond in my head. Saves the trouble of hitting delete!
  6. I voted no. My dd was a model. I made her quit when she was 8 because she would cry and be depressed for days when she didn't get picked. It was so unhealthy for her! The other girls made her feel ugly. It was a really bad situation all around.
  7. Sorry double post and not sure how to delete

  9. Dd10 is an awful speller. We've tried AAS and Sequential Spelling and neither were any help that I could tell. Does anybody have any ideas on what could work?
  10. I'm just replying because I'm interested in the answer too. We bought one yesterday. I know, for us, it was better to buy a motor home because we would have had to buy a truck to pull a camper and that extra expense just wasn't going to happen. The 5th wheels were really nice though. We bought a class C motor home because of the extra bed on top for the kids plus it wasn't a huge bus so I am comfortable driving it too. The class A ones are prettier but the C seemed more practical for right now. FTR, we got a 2007 Fleetwood Tioga. Sorry can't be of any help!
  11. There's not much near Dothan, AL other than the aviation museum already mentioned. I live about 15 minutes from Dothan, 5 from the museum. If you have questions, feel free to pm me.
  12. aww man I'll miss it by 3 weeks! We are going in March.
  13. 30 pages and not a single kilt picture? Is this a record?
  14. For my dd the morning after conception I woke up and told dh "I'm pregnant, it's a girl and her name is Abigail." I was right. We're positive it was conception day because it was the only weekend I saw dh for months both before and after. That evening my mother told me she dreamed I was pregnant with a girl. For my ds my MIL called me telling me she dreamed I had a little boy. I tested later that day and sure enough, surprise pregnancy. I knew right away it was a boy.
  15. Everything is either in my name alone or with dh as a secondary. I got tired of dealing with the hassle of getting things done when he wasn't around so we switched everything to me.
  16. Dd went to ps 1st and 3rd grades and part of 5th. Ds went to ps 1st grade and part of 3rd. We reevaluate if we want ps or homeschool every time we move.
  17. Park University. It's a brick and mortar school but has several degrees you can get through online only. I've never had any problems with them and am almost graduated with them.
  18. The ps schedule just wasn't working for our family. Plus we like it.
