Small update. Somehow the kid got ahold of my phone number. Today alone I've gotten 14 or so calls from her. I made a complaint to the police yesterday afternoon and they said there wasn't really anything that could be done because of her age. I'll make another one later today when I have time. Seriously pissed now. And to whoever suggested it, there's no medical bills. Insurance covers everything.

Well I feel kind of stupid. I had plugged the cord into my nook charger. I didn't think it would make a difference but it does. I put it back into the ipad one and it works just fine now. Thanks ladies, I wouldn't have thought of that on my own.

We tried to do school but I am so tired from the antics of the board late last night I called it a short day. Now they're watching cartoons while I try to stay awake.

Well my dh is deployed out of Bragg right now too due home same time. The best thing you can do right now is listen to her complain without saying "why don't we just put them in school." It is hard at first. When you get home, the best thing my dh does is Saturdays are daddy day and he takes them out the house for me to get some peace and quiet.

Maybe you could pay your oldest a couple of bucks to watch them and keep them out of your hair while you lock yourself in your room to do school work? Or offer a special privilege for helping out. Dh used to take the kids out of the house for a Daddy Day on Saturdays while I did school work.

No I kicked her out as soon as she got here. Her brother and both my kids get along great so she comes around with him. I feel like I'm keeping my kids shut inside because they like to roam the street and she follows them everywhere. When she is near, they have to come inside. I think this afternoon I'll have a chat with one of the cops on the street. I know one in particular is having trouble with her too.

I got make up for my 11th birthday but still almost never wear any. Not sure what I got when I was 13. Probably books. Dd10 just started shaving her legs because she needed it badly. I let her wear nail polish but that's all. Maybe when she's 12 I'll let her wear lip gloss and go slowly from there.

A couple of days ago dd came home with her hand dripping in blood. The neighbor kid, age 7, had hit her several times with a piece of pipe. I took her to the ER and got her 3 stitches and she's fine. After I calmed down, I went over there and her father assured that he had "beat her" and she was grounded for a week. And he not-so-vaguely hinted it was all my dd's fault anyway. I told him nicely that she was not to come near either of my kids again and he agreed. Two days later she's in our yard playing with ds. She's knocking on the door asking to play with the kids and leaving trash in my yard. I went over there yesterday and the father assured me again that she was grounded and he would take care of it. This morning at 7 a.m. guess who is at my door. How do I get this kid to leave us alone?? I've been rude to her in the past telling her flat out not to come back but a few hours later she's back. I thought about threatening to call the cops on her but we live in a tiny town and half the police force lives on our street and she knows they're nothing to be scared of.

Nope it says "not charging" there. It was plugged into the wall and I tried a few different sockets and they all say the same. I've never had it not be totally charged in the morning. So it is charging just very very slowly.

Last night I plugged in my iPad and it said "not charging." I was too tired to deal with it so just left it. This morning I checked it and it had only gone from 11% charged to 76% charged after being plugged in to the wall all night. What's wrong with it? I tried rebooting it and a few other things and it still says not charging.

Add in a couple of dogs and my dd would be in heaven at your place.

I finally hit 750 posts!

I used to work for them. At the time, I was getting .20/text then it dropped to .10. I quit when it went almost all automated. Too much work for too little pay.
