  1. The "probably" was for your first question. Now the downer part. I know I'll miss them and be lonely and stuff. :tongue_smilie:
  2. Probably. They stayed with my parents for a few days a few months ago and I was miserable up until the last day when I finally decided to stop worrying. But they won't see the kids again for at least 3 years so I'm okay with them going. I won't have this chance again so I want to enjoy it this time.
  3. Math- TT 7 Grammar- GWG 6 Writing- WWW 6 Spelling- I make our own Literature- Sonlight Core F History- Sonlight Core F Art - Co-op Science- Sonlight plus Apologia Swimming Creatures. And WP Equine Science on her own time. Latin- continue with Rosetta Stone Extra Curricular- Drama and PE at co-op
  4. My kids are going to be spending 2 weeks with my sister 7 hours away. Dh is away for work so I'll have 2 weeks home alone. This has never happened before! And I realized I have no idea what to do with my free time. What would you do? I've got lots of packing and getting the house ready for moving type stuff to do but still want to make the most of my break.
  5. Last year, I put the kids in ps. A month before our vacation, I went to the principal and teachers and said that they would be missing 2 week because dh would be home for r&r. Teachers were fine with it. Principal said he would call the truancy officer. I explained that it was the only 2 weeks the kids would get to see their dad in a year and a half. He said he didn't care. I told him where he could shove it (politely!) and took the kids out that day. So much for our ps experiment.
  6. We'll see how Auburn's season goes as to which team I'm supporting this year. It could always be worst. I could be an Alabama fan.
  7. Going to the Clemson game too! Nosebleed section but still going. Can't wait it has been a few years.
  8. NFL Saints of course! College Auburn
  9. I had forgotten about Underground! Too bad it isn't all that great anymore. I'm not really sure what we want to do. I can't remember the last time I went on a trip with no kids. A little of everything I think. Just want to stay away from educational stuff. I need a break. lol
  10. A friend and I are going to Atlanta for 2 days in a couple of weeks. No kids! So what do we do? I've been plenty of times but have always had the kids. She's never been. We've already got tickets to the Auburn game so everything else is going to have to be fairly cheap.
  11. I miss Gilmore Girls! I've watched Bunheads but can't seem to get into it. I still need to watch the last 3 episodes.
  12. We do. I Go on the ps website for the area and see what theyre having for lunch and do my best to have that at home. I usually Fix it in the mornings and stick it in their lunch boxes in the fridge. The kids love it when they have the same lunch as their ps friends. Not sure why.
  13. Lunch - kids didn't eat yet. They've been at a friend's house all day. School - not today. I'm in bed sick. Tonight? Hopefully I will be feeling better and can get some cleaning done. Kids will be exhausted so they'll be going to bed early.
  14. My kids have to try each sport for a season. They also have to do martial arts until I am satisfied that they can protect themselves, especially dd. Now that theyre done with that activities are whenever they want. But right now they don't do anything extra. As soon as ps lets out daily they roam the neighborhood with their friends until dark. I felt bad for taking them away from their friends so activities are on hold until after we move.
  15. :001_wub:I love my pug! We got him when he was about 8 weeks old and he's now 18 months. He is just now calming down. He was really hyper before to the point of driving me crazy. Potty training took a while but we didn't really know what we were doing so that might have been it. He's probably the most curious dog we've ever owned so he is constantly getting in trouble. Like getting his head stuck in a jar type trouble. I could go on all day. He's my baby.
  16. Both mine got one last year. They mainly use it to keep in touch with dh. They don't know their password. I log them in each time they want to use it. This way I can delete spam.
  17. When my little brother left I got him a dog tag with a scripture on it that he was allowed to wear. Other than that I would say money or gift cards. Dh went through running shoes every few weeks at first. His stuff was really expensive when we were young and he was just joining and the pay was bad so every bit of money was a huge help.
  18. Mine stays logged in. In the morning I click on new posts and open up tabs for all the threads I want to read. I hop off and on during the day and read them. If I finish them before bed time (rare) I click new posts and do it all over again.
  19. I hate them too. My dd does sl E and does them mostly by herself. I love that they come all together in the little boxes. They just take up so much time. I get science experiment books from the library fairly regularly and they pick a few out of there to do on their own time. It usually has nothing to do with what we're learning.
  20. I would do an all-in-one desktop. It is still pretty portable but the screen is bigger. IMO, desktops are just easier to use than laptops but that may be because I am old.
  21. :drool5: Been waiting for something like this to come out! Looking forward to seeing the 5th grade one.
  22. Dh wants to give dd scuba diving lessons for her 11th birthday in a few weeks. It's the youngest you can get certified. Am I crazy for thinking she's too young? Dh and I are both advanced divers with several certifications each. Heck, when she was born I remember us talking about how we couldn't wait to go diving with her. But I've seen grown adults have accidents out there over forgetting something simple. There's no way I would let her go with anybody other than dh or me but accidents happen! Am I crazy or is dh? Would you let your 11 yr. old do it? She's very responsible. Maybe I'm just having a hard time with my baby growing up.
  23. Mine doesn't care to keep up. Sometimes he will ask how much is in the savings or checking account. He never logs into the account to see where our money is going unless I show him.
