Exactly. I have a number of "real life" friends I met via online tools. I have quite a few "online" friends I value just as much as the ones I can see in person readily. I never had an illusion of privacy on FB, I am not leaving it anytime soon. The other social media options just aren't as widespread and active to warrant a full switch.

One of my older adult Aspie friends,in his late 30’s, is on disability. He spent most of his adult life so far trying to work various jobs and ultimately quitting or being fired (varies). His personal Aspie challenges made working not viable. He could do it for short periods but not over the long haul. He’s smart, educated, but lacks other necessary abilities. Now he lives with his Grandmother. He helps her with errands, chores, and other things and she lets him live there free. He spends a lot of time online, playing video games. But he gets offline to help around the house, help Grandma, and spend time with her.

Budget will be the determining factor. The "Jr" shows mentioned above are perfect but $$. Or, there are a number of companies that have shows that no one has ever really heard off but are still fun and low budget.

DS18 is struggling to decide between two schools as well.

All the hoop jumping I had to do while on SNAP and Medicaid was ridiculous. Fraud levels are incredibly low, but perception is other wise.

I’ve done this with the text chat client we used. I used to chat with my dad every single day.

We hired an estate sale company to sort through my parents house and sell off the stuff. I just couldn’t do it. They’ve started posting preview photos online. I don’t want, need, or have room for all the stuff but my heart is breaking. My relationship with my parents was complicated, but I sure do miss them tonight. My dad has been gone over a year now, my mom a few months gone. Grief just jumps out at you.

I negotiated via email, once I knew exactly what I wanted. I sent emails to all relevant dealerships in reasonable driving distance. I told them what car I wanted, listing required features and a couple “would be nice to have but not necessary†features. I also let them know I was emailing several dealerships. I ended up with the price I wanted and all the features I wanted, zero haggling. I did research online ahead of time to gauge what was a reasonable offer. One dealership came in with an excellent offer and I bought from them. I think I contacted around five dealerships.

Mostly it’s awkward.
