  1. We let the photographer know what my kid would be wearing, and that really helped set the tone. He had some unique outfit choices. This helped the artist know what/how to shoot him. Here is his faceless one ?
  2. We have family who simply do not visit us because we have cats, or stay mostly in our cat free office space most of the time. Agreeing with previous poster, changing to our Dyson vacuum made a HUGE difference in the amount of cat hair (and dust!) everywhere. It cleans it off our furniture significantly better as well. We used to get the $80 vacuums because that is what we could afford at the time. I would request, and personally clean his sleeping space and keep the cats OUT. Zyrtec, Benadryl, Flonase nasal spray, Zatidor eye drops, real Sudafed, saline nasal rinse (neti pot is what we use but any is fine) will all help since you are stuck playing there. Showers in morning and at bedtime, middle of day if needed too.
  3. Its very concerning. I was planning to apply for accommodation for my youngest. This has made me unsure about it.
  4. It’s possible to treat your lawn and house for fleas. In yards, they tend to like shady areas.
  5. My boys are 15 and 18 now, both take ballet. They enjoy it, it’s fun for them. They don’t encounter negative comments, but they are theater kids so among their peers dance is expected.
  6. I have someone in my life who has this I think, but won't get checked out either.
  7. This would drive me nuts too, if it was happening on a semi-regular basis.
  8. Having seen the photo. I’d just take care of it. I’d not ask the older guy to pay for it. Ive had my car damaged, significantly, by friends. I never expected anyone to pay for it.
  9. I dont usually receive them, I’m okay with that. I don’t send them often anymore either. I am trying to get my graduate to send them. They are still sent for major events like this, so I’m hoping he will. It’s not a hill I’ll die on though. Times change, I’m okay with that.
  10. Our parades hand candy out now vs. throwing it. Great for safety, but less kids get candy.
  11. Yes, you need to let it go. Get him his own help.
  12. My son politely corrects Ma’ams and moves on. Other than long hair he looks male. Whiskers, deep voice, clothing style.
  13. Only one milk drinker in my house and a gallon rarely lasts more than 24 hours.
  14. While I prefer Mac, my boys have Asus laptops that are working great. The only issues have been standard pc/windows nonsense.
  15. This is is what we put in our new place after removing the carpet. I really like it so far. We put in a mid range style, but there is a wide range of options.
  16. Are they giving him an IEP? Extra time on tests. Extended due dates on time consuming assignments. Reduced amounts of busy work. Such as, instead of 50 math homework problems, he does 25. Possibly recording class lectures so note taking isn’t an issue. Help organize and manage time, distractions when doing homework.
  17. This is a humanitarian issue. Trying to make it a political one is telling.
  18. Families should never have been separated, and this EO is not anything to celebrate. I have some relief that children may be returned to their families in detention, but it’s not much. I have more thoughts but they are still processing in my mind.
  19. I am looking for a straight forward explanation for you. There have been several I've seen by immigration lawyers but they contain quite a lot of politics and questionable vocabulary.
