  1. :grouphug: It's ok to feel sad but please don't let it fester. :grouphug:
  2. I always break out in hives from the ocean. I have a milder reaction from the salt water pool in our neighborhood. I also break out in hives from my own sweat. :glare:
  3. Never heard of this. I was confused by the article, is this just a name brand vape product or something different?
  4. I agree with the others. Last time we went to DIsney was the only time we didn't get sick. I was super anal about everyone using hand sanitizer all day long. After rides, in the lines where they had the interactive things, before eating if there wasn't a restroom close by, etc.
  5. DH & I saw it earlier today and my 2 oldest are at the theater right now. I did warn my DH that it was a musical because he doesn't like musicals. Funny thing he said after that he didn't realize that Hugh Jackman could sing so well.
  6. No clue. I have one that needs to take a summer class. Two of them will be going to camp for 3 days. I'm sure that a couple will want to do gymnastics camp. I have to look at our schedules and how much everything costs.
  7. We replaced ours last summer. Got a Maytag from Home Depot. Love it!
  8. The lentils & pumpkin recipe posted above is delicious. My kids LOVE it. I like all the recipes that we've tried from Nom Nom Paleo. Made this https://nomnompaleo.com/post/76137606724/pressure-cooker-mexican-beef yesterday. I'm making this https://addapinch.com/pressure-cooker-balsamic-roast-beef-recipe/ right now. Almost any recipe can be converted over to a pressure cooker.
  9. :cursing: Seriously?! Is there some advocacy group or media or politician who could help get this resolved? If they're doing this to you then you can be damn sure they're doing it to others. Who pays for this organization?
  10. The difference in the mileage is the deciding factor for me.
  11. You know when you have the flu. I've only had the flu, as an adult, twice. Never went to the doctor either time. It's so different from a normal cold. What's ironic is that I get sicker for longer with a normal cold than I did with the flu.
  12. When I had the flu last year I just did home remedies. I quarantined myself in my bedroom and only my DH was allowed in there. He made me stay for a full week even though I felt fine enough by day 5. I didn't have the flu vaccine and I didn't use any fever reducers. I was the only one in the house that was sick.
  13. My son is one of just a few homeschool kids in his troop. They did it as a troop. It's always good to reinforce that message. Our public school system does the DARE program every single year.
  14. I wouldn't take it. If you read about the drug, it only reduces the flu by 1 day. Not a big enough payoff for the side effects.
  15. :grouphug: I'm so sorry for your loss. From what you wrote here you sound like a great mom who did all you could for your DD. :grouphug:
  16. I don't think I've seen the whole movie. But the parts of Grease that I've seen, I don't like. I've also never seen Titanic. :leaving: My 15 yo wants to see Greatest Showman. Just trying to figure a time in around her schedule.
  17. I'm working on my 2nd project with Sweet Roll. It's 100% acrylic but kinda soft. I have a Caron Cake sitting here waiting for me to have time to do a project for me. It feels soft in the skein. The superwash wool is very nice. I made myself a pair of fingerless mitts from it. It is still itchy like wool but can be machine washed & dried.
  18. Yeah, I try to use my home bathroom on those days.
  19. Congratulations!
  20. This is their 300th anniversary and I heard that they'll be partying more than usual. Check out https://www.neworleans.com/ for the dates you're visiting.
  21. My husband's parents & my parents have the same first names.
  22. My sister and I were in a group on a trip to Ireland. We were touring one of the churches and saw one of the nuns who taught in our high school. It was weird.
  23. Soma is what I wear. My 15 yo cut the tags off so I can't tell you the brand. :glare: We did get it at Nordstrom.
