  1. I just covered the blue that was in my hair, back in January. I miss it already. And, yeah - where's the pic?:tongue_smilie:
  2. It's working on our wii and my iPhone. It wasn't working on the laptop earlier but it is now, according to dh.
  3. That sounds like the title of a country song. I hate days like those. Hope you can get the smell out.
  4. Thank you for posting about the AHA science! I'm such a science-slacker!
  5. Ouch! I had a cortisone shot where the arch on the inside of each of my feet should be (flat feet) when I had plantar fasciitis and I cried like a baby. I hope I never have to do that again!
  6. Great suggestions already. For something different, you could take surf/boogie board lessons at the surf shop inside International Plaza Mall. I think it's called Adrenalina? They used to run a B1G1 free special mid-week. My son did it at 7 yo and had a blast!
  7. Us too. My kids love to have a little bit of several things plopped in each muffin tin hole. For younger kids, ice cube trays are also good. They're super-fast to make, too. Bonus!
  8. Me too! Love boojiboo! You can probably find a review I left not long ago. Got one and had to swap it. Customer service was awesome!
  9. We are reading this one right now. I was looking for Red Fern and had to put it on hold from another library, but this was on the shelf, so I got it. We love it so far.
  10. 55% left, 45% right But I can switch the dancer back and forth pretty easily.
  11. I broke a few laws back in the day, but wasn't dumb enough to get caught. ;) Now, I'm a fairly strict rule-follower (unless the rules are just ridiculous ) and like to set a good example for my kids, but I also homeschool and dye my hair blue, so I wouldn't exactly say I'm Sandra Dee. :)
  12. MENU French dip sandwiches raw veggie (cukes, baby carrots, tomatoes are favorites here) applesauce or raw fruit (banana, apple, peach, pineapple, whatever) For french dips, warm one can of beef consomme in saucepan, and add enough roast beef deli meat for your crowd (we use the Boar's Head Oven Roast Beef, it's sooo good.) Once it's heated through, fill sub rolls (or cut portions of french bread) with roast beef and top with pepper-jack or provolone cheese. Pop in the oven to broil until cheese is melted. Give each person a ramekin of the warm consomme to dip their sandwich into. These are good for quick dinners, too - very filling! Note: if you let the consomme boil, the deli meat will shrivel/curl up like crazy, lol. I try not to let it get that hot, but more often than not, I don't. It still tastes good, though!
  13. I use my cell phone for a timer. :) I didn't think to get backup printer ink.
  14. *drool* What is that paint color? I LOVE IT!
  15. I like to think I wouldn't be mad if my son did that. :) However, if I was the one who did it, I'd never tell anyone. I kind of like the idea of having a secret like that just between us. I think it's kind of romantic. <3
  16. They have the big ones for $3.95 at Crate & Barrel if you have a store near you. You can check the availability online, too. :)
  17. My father-in-law's brother married a lady named Dixie. Dixie Wynn - except in the phone book it's Wynn, Dixie. (pronounced win) FIL also had a grandmother named Merler, which was meant to be Marilyn, but spelled incorrectly. My bff's brother is Maverick, and at our first duty station, a guy named Tiger and his wife had a baby boy and named him Maverick, too. So that name isn't odd at all to me. I remember a kid who went to my grandfather's church named Dink. And a friend of a friend in my hometown was named Suni, got married to a man with the last name Friday (promise, she's on facebook.) On another msg board I belong to, there's a lady with twin girls, Summer and Winter- I believe their last name is Summers.
  18. I really needed to read some of these posts about science today. I sometimes get so wrapped up in what we're 'supposed' to do next, that I forget who's in charge here, lol. I also like to have things fairly planned out, or at least have an outline to go by - but science is the one subject that we just don't plan as methodically, and I needed the reminder that it's ok. Thanks!:001_wub:
  19. I'm on another high-volume message board and when stamps are posted for sale, they tend to go quickly if the price is right. Since that's free, I'd try that first. Either here or a craft board, or something like that.
