  1. You should just be able to login into your google account and upload the file from there.
  2. Can someone soothe my compulsive brain and let me know the typical math sequence after grade 6. From k-gr11 math was fully integrated for me so I don't know the order math is supposed to go. My plan is to ride the Singapore DM train until it derails in a fiery crash. Also I have the Dolciani text (1985) and I am really enjoying going through the problems as a refresher.
  3. Doliciani question. Do you think you need the teacher manual for pre-algebra?
  4. It doesn't say, but if you ask them (HSBC) I think they might give you the answer.
  5. For those waiting, in today's homeschool buyer coop newsletter it announced the MM sale will happen in March.
  6. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I thought the library edition had to do with the binding and material and not the content of a book.
  7. I have been reading along with the thread. I think you are right: That way as you hopefully grow and expand you are using your own material. I would love to be part of a group of helpers. I have a 5 yr old and a 11 yr old. Do you know where you would want to start age wise if you are using your own material?
  8. You can see samples on their website: http://www.aophomeschooling.com/horizons/
  9. I'm planning science for next year for my youngest. For younger grades, I have found I like doing a little of each branch of science and then going more in-depth in middle school. I was looking at the following: Nancy Larson Elemental Science Intro to Science BFSU The last two really appeal to me. I have a download of BFSU Vol 1 which I like but I also like the ES. So I was thinking I would do ES for the remainder of K half/ first half of grade 1 and then move into BFSU. I'm just wondering if there will be too much overlap.
  10. It is the same series of books. Book 11 serves as a bridge to a new storyline/villain.
  11. Vote other. I think if it is something that can be printed and reused multiple times I think it should cost the same. Where the price would equal something close to holding the license to reprint the book whenever you want. If it is not something that can be printed, I think it should cost significantly less.
  12. I think there is a difference in researching vs acquiring. Said as someone who is standing beside some trees, not really seeing the forest.
  13. Maybe I missed this (this is a long thread). If one of the children wanted to learn something (how to write their name or how to do a math problem or want to learn about the middle ages) would the parents give them the tools they need to read?
  14. Yes, I could have done that but I wanted other people to have a chance to get opinions too. I like sharing the knowledge. :) Thanks. Can I ask why you didn't use something like the Extra Practice books?
  15. I was wondering if any Hake users have tried this and what their opinion is of this compared to Hake.
  16. There were a few people in the past that were using this as a supplement and I was wondering if they were still out there and if they can give a review of their experience?
  17. They still make it. http://www.singaporemath.com/Earlybird_Math_Standards_Ed_s/135.htm
  18. I believe this is a s/o of another thread this poster started here: http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=327601
  19. I bought my subscription last week and used this code: USA51TRL and it gave me 50% off.
  20. 4 full days and then we have one day dedicated to finishing up projects/meeting up with friends.
  21. :iagree: This is one of the things that is drawing me to this program for my youngest.
