  1. Another vote for turbo tax, they have different type of programs depending on how complicated (or easy) your info is. For us, we don't have any major assets aside from our house, so we used the $14.95 version. Also you although they charge extra filing or your state refund you may want to check your state's tax website, where I live (VA) they have free filing online. ETA: Turbo Tax also saves copies of your taxes for ever year you do it with them.
  2. There is no specific dates on the irs website, only that they will be issuing payments in May. It also says that if you filed electronically you will receive your payment electronically via direct deposit, and if you mail in they will you mail a check.
  3. The last I read they were not being issued until May. I know that the irs sent letters out to people saying they would be receiving a check. Here is a blurb from the IRS.gov website about the rebate checks: Maybe she is mistaken?
  4. Do you have access to 1A? If so I would let him glance at it. My older son was in school before we pulled him out again, and I found that 1A was beyond where he was. When we looked at 1B we saw the intro to multiplication and division, he is still flying through it, but he is learning concepts we would have missed if we just skipped level one all together.
  5. I'm trying to figure out how much I should be budgeting for next year's curriculum. I am thinking about purchasing My Pals are Here for our science. Looking at the Rainbow Resources site I was left a little . So I need at minimum: Student Text 3A and 3B Activity book 3A and 3B Do I need to buy the Teacher text and the Test manual as well? I'm pretty confident in my primary science if that makes a difference. Thanks.
  6. We keep it very light during summer time. Reading is an everyday thing here and we do the review book to our math program 2x a week. We spend most of our time at the pool, museums, and doing day camps.
  7. My in-laws live in Wellsville. It is very very rare to see anyone familiar with that area. :D (We visit a few times a year, we live in VA)
  8. We live on the Peninsula. We've lived here for about 8 years now and love the area. Sometimes I think every one is on the southside.
