  1. I love the Evan-Moor books, teacherfilebox (once you get past searching) has a lot of the older books they no longer sell for print. I used a few for our K year along with library books.
  2. thanks. Looks good, the only thing I think I don't like is the font in the student books, but next to that I think this might be a great resource.
  3. Bump. I believe there is a poster that uses Everyday Literacy: Science books.
  4. How are you liking the online version? I debating making the switch but I don't know how I feel about spending $60 vs just using the cd I already own.
  5. I believe that deal is over now.
  6. You can see samples at the Moving Beyond the Page website, locate here
  7. No worries. Here is a blurb from an email they sent me:
  8. :iagree: I had research burnout and just stopped. Now when I find something I continue with it until I feel my kids need something more challenging or it is plain not working.
  9. 30 minutes, this includes instruction, worksheet page, and him reading to me.

  11. You might want to try again because I just did this and it worked.
  12. We are printing save the date photo cards. She has a large list to mail out to and she is trying to keep her costs low to save on supplies for when she orders her flowers and things she will need for invitations. I am looking for a place where I can print cards we make vs using someone elses style. re: print at home. It would cost more printing at home since she doesn't have a good quality printer.
  13. I am helping my friend with some wedding stuff. Together we created photocards that we would like to print. Does anyone know of a place that will let you print photocard you created yourself? Or should we be treating the finished image as a photo and going that route. Can anyone help me out?
  14. Sure, I think most people have seen most of these: Animated sample of one of the units (sorry I don't know what grade this comes from) More samples Samplers on Scribd The other searches I did were from this board and then I googled ScienceFusion under the discussion tabs on Google.
  15. I have been reading, the navigation on the product site is not very enlightening, but I'm a picky shopper. ;) I've been reading past threads from here and other boards and I think I have managed to answer some of my questions.
  16. This is really tempting me. I have a few questions: For the middle school levels are their printed materials or do you have to download? Is this something that needs to be supplemented heavily? ETA: Can the modules be done out of order? I'm thinking I would do module K over the summer than move to module B in the Fall.
  17. I have really enjoyed our time with Saxon Phonics K. I attempted to you OPGTR but my ds need more and this worked at the perfect pace for him. He did know all his letter sounds and I was reluctant at first to use it but if you use the program as is your dc walks away knowing a lot of words by the end of the K year. I will be continiuing with the program. I think it doesn't get a lot of mention because of people being "scarred" from using the Saxon math program. I love threads like this, on this forum there are certain programs that get a lot of talk but a lot of others that don't get talked about. Even if a program gets mentioned in passing it might give someone a chance to research it more. Which is how I stumbled upon Saxon phonics. Now if the same thing could happen for math.
  18. If you are considering dreambox don't forget you purchase a year's subscription for under $40 from hsbc but the deal expries on 3/31.
  19. My ds is only in K. So when we went through dreambox he had completed 80% curriculum and 30% of grade one. We just started back today and in the with the assessments he has gotten close to where he was K wise, which is nice since he had hit a wall and didn't want to play anymore.
  20. I thought you couldn't transfer it over and you had to start over?
  21. Does your state have any homeschool conventions? In my state, one of the conventions has a resale and allows people to mail in their curriculum for them to sell. They take a percentage and cut you a check.
  22. don't suppose there is a vintage how to cook book somewhere? I see a Home Economics through vintage books coming about in my head. Google is my friend: The School Kitchen textbook: lessons in cooking and domestic science for the elementary schools
