  1. :grouphug: I'm sending prayers your way. :grouphug:
  2. I'm a total newbie to actually making a block, but I'll see if my local store can help me come up with something tomorrow.
  3. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I'm so sorry for your loss.
  4. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Rose, I'm sorry your family is dealing with this, and hope and pray things work out well.
  5. :grouphug: Prayers for you and the little one. :grouphug:
  6. This is heartbreaking and outrageous. I can't believe FB hasn't been held accountable already.
  7. :iagree: I wouldn't open up a big-drama discussion with a little one either. They are pretty easy to please, but asking them to give up something is almost always a recipe for tears.
  8. Susan's list in The Well Educated Mind, would be my recommendation. My husband suggest long classics; anything by a Russian.
  9. I'm surprised by it. I wonder if it's covered in their contract???
  10. On the question of counter-fit products, there was an Aldi / Trader Joe's connection. This was discussed way back when on the old board and the discussion prompted my to try Aldi's. I don't buy a lot of canned or pre-made foods. One of our local Aldi's has a wonderful selection of fresh produce (most of which is US grown) and the prices are much less than even Walmart. As I mentioned earlier, I tend to go for the German goodies there..
  11. I discovered Aldi while living in Germany. I wouldn't drive out of my way to get to one, but I do go to one of our three local stores every now and then. I love their German products.
  12. Only one choice... I picked scrambled, but I also love hard-boiled, and quiche.
  13. I dread seeing it in black and white too. Temporary for our government does not always = temporary; I think a lot of people hoped they would do a better job managing the mess. Less money for us = less money and it's harder to stretch the budget as prices seem to always be going up, up, up.
  14. Total to date includes everything including medication. $260.18
  15. I'm going to try to back track and figure out what we've spent this month. (Wish me luck, dh...loathes written budgeting and tracking.)
  16. I wouldn't want to make food a battle.

I think it's just the way of so many people today :w00t: . Free-cycle...gag. :iagree: People have a thousand questions, want pictures, can you deliver it, or hold it for a month?...People, it's free; isn't that good enough already  .
  18. The list is for me, not my family. Cheese... Colby-jack and Swiss-Lorraine Yogurt Milk eggs pancakes tuna fresh baked bread Cran-grape juice Some sort of veggie???
  19. Bethany...from the list. Lilianna (Lily) is my niece  .
  20. I've grown to find those type of comments insulting for the most part, but I learned not to be drawn into defending hs. I've learned to laugh, and reply something like..."I'm not sure what you want me to say to that..Oh look, a bird."
  21. Geeze, I thought you meant "Bob-Bob." You know the trainer from BL?
  22. I've used my Cuisinart for years here.
