  1. Poor girl. Our old cocker spaniel developed arthritis, and did grow reluctant to go down steps. I hope your girl gets better and feels like herself soon.
  2. My sister uses some that have a disposable liner. She loves them. I'll check with her later for a brand name. Sis, loves the BumGenius too and regular thick cloth ones with a fleece cover. http://www.vermontdiapercompany.com/index.html
  3. Written on your CALENDAR, that way you could just see the title(s). Sorry about the fines, I've learned my lesson the hard way here too. Dh will drop the books off for me on the way to work if I leave them on the counter.
  4. :grouphug: Maybe, a response with....Geeze, they we are getting ready for our day when (blank) drops in out of the blue:glare:. Or just shrug and say you should try calling first;). But, I do like what you said better.
  5. They do hurt, burn, throb. Pain reliever helps as does avoiding chapped lips. Abreva burns and seems to double the breakouts for me. Vaseline helps keep the lips moist as does a good chap stick. Poor kiddo.
  6. I've had two that were particularly hurtful. One from fil and the other from an acquaintance who had just lost her son to a drug overdose. The acquaintance (at a breakfast to welcome me:tongue_smilie:) was a verbal tirade on how I was not only going to ruin my children, and by default the local school system. I was was stunned, but opted to pass the bean-dip. I found out after breakfast about her son.
  7. Well, that is a strange policy. I hope they fill your card soon.
  8. A good doctor is such a blessing. I'll keep praying for your mom and you:grouphug:.
  9. :grouphug:I hope she has a good day. Be sure to update us.
  10. Friday can be a great day, just plan one a week :D or every other week to fill with fun. Even once a month could be a treat worth working for, especially for young students. My kids are big.......now. We all have fond memories of Friday-Free days. Library trips, lunches in the park or museums, field trips, nature walks with journals. Sweet memories that sparked a joy of learning.
  11. :grouphug:Prayers:grouphug: My mom's ankle took a very long time to heal. Be sure to get plenty of calcium.
  12. Oh my goodness... We finally like our Royal electric sharpener from Sam's.
  13. Poor boy. I hope the next call is a good news one.:grouphug:
  14. :grouphug:I'm sorry and hope it works out. That just stinks to say the least.
  15. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I feel for you and your mom, and of course your dad. I'd learn what I could and keep good eating (both meal and snack) options around in the right sized portions for him.
