    Our squirrels don't bother with the suet feeders, and it may be because the stuff is so stinky. And a number of neighbors have good luck with their feeders at the top of poles with the metal skirt, rather than hanging ones.

    I'd go with the one I loved, but older homes have their own challenges. The square footage you mention isn't enough to worry over, at least for me.

    :grouphug:Vent away...:grouphug: My motto often goes something like this... "It doesn't have to be fun...it just has to be done." Rinse and repeat. Cultivate and allow the habit of doing something vs. nothing to sustain you through the rough patches. Try not to feel guilty, as the little bits add up overtime.

    :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Some germs smell funny/funky, sinus infection, strep, ear infections and a bunch of others to me too. One of our old pediatricians used to have mine breath in her face to smell it. I remember thinking how strange it was. That was years ago, and I had no idea what she was doing. :bigear:
