  1. We roll out of bed just before 7:00 except ds, who loves sleeping in until 9:00. Sun isn't up here until 7 now, I seem to get up with the sun. I am not a night-owl, because I need plenty of sleep to function as a nice mom/teacher/wife. I'm a drill sgt. without a good 8 or 9 hours of sleep. I love a solid 10 in the winter, summer seems to lessen my need for rest.
  2. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I hope to see you here often, and wish you and your ds a peaceful transition.
  3. My dear friend has the same problem with her dd/16 in public school. She has just always enjoyed older friends. This is a problem for many families.
  4. Bringing your own food and drinks will save not only $$$ but time. Consider bringing pre wrapped Disney souvenirs too. We bought a lot there too, but didn't break the budget nearly as much. Have a wonderful time. Strollers are great for resting and packing all the stuff around:).
  5. Lots of teas (mine are zero calorie for the most part) or with a little sugar or honey, water, milk, juices, very rarely a root-beer. I gave up the artificial sweeteners a few years ago for many reasons. btw, sugar is pretty low calorie in many drinks. Mine average 15-30 calories when sweetened.
  6. The second, acrylic yarn was is so cute, I've seen them selling in a few specialty shops for around $7. Now I have the pattern, thank you!
  7. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:Prayers :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
  8. What a great idea Chris. I'm trying to secretly squeeze this in here too without taking the joy out of their pleasure readings. We're all reading the series and discussing them. I am attempting to use a little WEM questions and http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/index_author_r.html I'm going to check out a few of the recommendations and browse my library's catalog on-line.
  9. Snort...:D Our refrigerator thermometer went a few years back and we had to toss everything according to the repair man. I'm still pretty sure the pickles would have been fine. :001_huh:
  10. Thank you for the update. I understand your ds's position, but he wouldn't return to their home as long as the other young man had free access to a gun.
  11. Congratulations! I'd go for more blankets, diapers, wipes, onesies and sleepers/gowns along with sensitive skin laundry detergent. Babies can add up to lots of laundry even with their teeny-tiny things:001_smile:. Prepared food and meals are always a blessing. If you aren't near to drop the food off, care packages or many companies send great gift baskets.
