That's one contented cat...

We made it. She did great-she got a little ancy right about as we got to Atlanta, but pretty much sat on my lap or slept in her bed the rest of the way. We stopped every couple of hours and took a break, which I think was more needed for humans than for cats. Except that we found the wrong residence inn...twice, it was pretty easy.

Next, you need to take a picture of him by the pool. It wouldn't be a vacation without one.

I'm not sure there is one...we're at a business type hotel in Midtown.

Neo got to be part of the 5 year planning meeting for parks and rec today (via zoom).

For years, our trips to Atlanta have been less vacation and more like homeschooling at a coffee shop-DH comes in and works in GHQ and gets to see his team in person, and L and I do stuff on our own. It's always low key, and, for me, is a lot more relaxing than a "fun vacation"-i can't get drawn into too much work stuff from here, but there's little pressure to "Do Atlanta" when we're going to be here again in 2 months.

It's honestly the perfect trip to have brought Neo on. She's getting more time with people and new places to explore-and she doesn't have the big cats getting annoyed with her kitten antics. She always gets a lot of attention, and everyone seems to love her.

Eventually we'll go somewhere it doesn't make sense to take her, but she's added an extra layer of fun.

It's a USB rechargable cat charmer-it has a rod that goes around under the fabric. Originally, it had a feather that poked out,but that didn't last long, but the rod moving makes the fabric ripple. We used to have a battery operated version, but when it died, got the rechargable one. Even the older cats enjoy it.

You're in midtown? Coming back through B'ham tomorrow? I need some stuff from IKEA. 😉 Just kidding.

Y'all be careful traveling!

We're doing the northern route so we can stop at McKay's :).  Except for Neo...I don't think they want a bookstore cat. It adds a little bit of driving time, but the bookstore is worth it 🙂

McKay's will be fun! And that's a nice scenic route, too. 🙂

We made it back. It took longer since we did everything in shifts so someone could stay with Neo (plus we stopped at both Chattanooga and Nashville McKay's). Neo handled it really well (including walking into her carrier to find her litter box when she needed it!).

I think we may have more voyages of the traveling cat...at least for driving trips. (I don't think she'd like flying much)
