Ottakee
I don’t have a picture but this weekend at church one of the men in the praise team was sporting a kilt…..and I thought of the hive. Kilts are not common at all in our community. 12 1

Guest
I’m planning a trip to Scotland next year and, I gotta be honest, some legit kilt sightings is a draw. I was looking at a tour of the Inner Hebrides and the tour guides are kilted…it’s a selling point, for certain. 😁

TravelingChris
My youngest went to Rhodes College and both their convocation and their graduation included a kilted man playing bagpipes. Of course. it immediately made me think of the HIve.
Terabith
Okay, I know you guys are probably going to think I'm making this up, but my town, the one that has the monolith, also has a soda fountain/ grilled cheese store (old timey soda fountain and a wide assortment of various grilled cheese sandwiches and also lots of ice cream) that is run by a man who 1) plays the bagpipes, and 2) wears a kilt. Sometimes he wears a kilt while making your grilled cheese sandwich. And when business is slow, he'll stand just outside the door and play the bagpipes. 7 1
zimom
One of my husband's work partners regularly wears a kilt to the Christmas party and a few other events each year. I don't think he is of Scottish background but I might be wrong. He does not play the bagpipes.
kbutton
Parades where I am from always have at least one bagpipe band, and the pipers usually wear kilts.
Lucy the Valiant
The police department of the small town of Lincoln, NH, has their own tartan, and their officers work / direct traffic / perform crowd control in full kilt attire every year at the Highland Games. (It's a town of like ~2,000 people who host a festival of maybe 25,000 / 30,000 people? The officers get noticed.)
