Michelle T
I'd love to get some recommendations for good companies sending mail-order food basket gifts for the holidays. NOT fruit though, no Harry & David, no David & Pittman. Any recommendations? I need to order three gift baskets for DH and my parents. RebeccaS
We loved Wolferman's. They sell English Muffins along with specialized jams, scones, maybe some teas. It's always been a hit when we send with them.
ccm
These were a big hit with my family members last year: http://www.wickedwhoopies.com
mcconnellboys
I used Huber's in Starlight, Indiana, last year and was pleased with them: http://www.huberwinery.com/content_display.php?id=36 I also love ordering from Land-o-Lakes (best hot chocolate in the world): http://www.landolakes.com/products/CocoaCappuSales.cfm I still order from both these places by phone, but I'm sure you can do it online, as well. Sparkle
I like Stonewall Kitchen. They have all kinds of foods. I really like their chocolate/caramel/mocha sauces and their mustards. Their line of kitchen soaps and cleaners are nice too. http://www.stonewallkitchen.com/default.aspx

Hillary in KS
OK, we like sending food gifts! :) Omaha Steaks. (They sell much more than just meat.) http://www.omahasteaks.com/servlet/redirect?fromUri=/home Edible Arrangements. (Fruit bouquets, many dipped in chocolate!! Lots of great, creative gift ideas.) http://www.ediblearrangements.com/ Vosges Luxury Chocolates (The oddest flavor combinations, but the flavors are AMAZING! I can't recommend this chocolate enough. Try one of their samplers!) https://vosgeschocolate.com/ Boca Java (Yummy, gournet coffees, teas, and hot chocolate) http://www.bocajava.com/
kalanamak
If they like to cook, I have gotten 100% ohhh and ahhhhs over the Penzey's boxes. (Herbs and spices) http://www.penzeys.com/cgi-bin/penzeys/c-Gift_Boxes.html
Stacia
Mrs. Hanes' Home-Made Moravian Cookies are really delicious, lol: http://www.hanescookies.com/hanes_cs/default.asp Also, Norm Thompson has a nice selection of food items. My gf always loved getting a tin of their Aplets & Cotlets each year.
KidsHappen
We have been ordering from them every Christmas for at least ten years. We have been sending it too family and friends for almost that long. And we get repeat requests every year. My dh told my kids that we weren't going to order from them this year and he almost had a revolt on his hands. They set him straight in no short order. They will be willing to forgo then entire rest of the holiday before they would give up Swiss Colony. Their Royal Chocolate Petit Fours ar to die for. We go through boxes of those each year. If you have questions about any specific item, just let me know as we have probably tried everything at least once. :) http://www.swisscolony.com/home.jsp
KatieJ
It's a local coffee shop that roasts their own coffee daily. Every bean is fresh at 48 hours.. THey also have a huge selection of teas and all the coffee presses, mugs, tea strainers..etc. They have nooks full of kitchen do dads, candies, their bagels are awesome, fudge, and a selection of cheese and deli meats. THey do a huge business of gift baskets at Christmas time. www.hermansboy.com

Harriet Vane
Great Harvest--absolutely heavenly bread Penzey's Spices--I have never met ANYONE who wasn't delighted with a gift box from them. These are not run-of-the-mill spices. You can get everyday stuff, or a cocoa box, or a salad box, etc.
Deidre in GA
it's not exactly food but one of my brother's favorite gifts from me was a six month membership in a beer of the month club. every month he received gourmet beers from microbreweries around the world. he really found it interesting. there are also cheese of the month clubs and, ugh, cigars! i'm not at the computer i ordered it from but if you're interested let me know and i'll look up the company i used. there are a lot of them out there.
